I was one of few guys who liked the old version of this map. Because snow was cool, and second was changing the game play. But i have just one question: What have you smoke when you make the remake? x)

1) the new spawn is too long to defend the last. Something cool with the old version was the possibilites to defend from top right. Now we need to walk, walk and walk to try to defend.

2) Why have you remove the left house to put some rock on the second point?

3) The middle. I do not know if it’s an impression it but it seems really tight. When we come from the left, as medic, i dont saw the spam.

And my last question is : why you have enlarge the map? 18 sec to reach the middle. This is partly due to that shitty spawn and this second point.

Well, sorry for my bad english, but i was liking obscure_final, and i really (>9000) dislike the remake_b3

1) and 3) are fixed, spawn structure has been changed and you can take off 4 seconds so you should get to middle in a normal fashion.

Number 2) is opinion based, the house was too big and made a division of where the defenders should and could stand, now they can hold but at the cost of height/separation, rather than being separated everywhere due to the house.

I must admit I am suprised as to how many like _final, but the snow is a fps and crosshair killer so…. no. Also it’s a turtle map the _final :/ I can definitely see your point about the distance and it’s mainly because of the distance at spawn, this has now changed in rc1 which will hopefully be coming out soon.

Upcoming things in rc1 are all optimizations no layout changes really

– cp1 spawn altered so that it doesn’t take eternity to get out.
– distance from cp1 to cp3 is now quicker than of granary rollout (as an example)
– Attackers on cp3-cp4 who just spawn have +1/+2 seconds incremented now.
– Fps tweaks
– Many other tweaks and clippings fixed.
– Last will have an extra fence on the far right side to allow attackers to enter easily and suprise the enemy team.

Sorry but the remake for me and others is much more fluid and less stalemate, alot of ppl whining atm coz they can’t figure out what to do in situations, like moaning about 2 sg’s and a heavy on last, well surely that could of been said to gullywash on cp1? 2 engis and 1 heavy on last… is kinda difficult and rape as well but I don’t see anyone moaning?

Think people need to sit down more and play the map more and see what they can come up with because atm all i’m getting are ‘preliminary’ whines, which basically means “ohhh we played 2 pcw’s on this and score ended 2-1” or “1-0” , when if alot of people remember when gully first came out it’s average total of rounds achieved was also very low because it wasn’t a known map.

Thank you for your feedback though, look out for those changes in rc1 which will be out soon I hope once I get to speak to Vince.

you know how in spawn you can rj to that small bridge that leads to a door ( that’s inside spawn )?
make it so you could go to the above of last point from that door :D ( if you know what I mean?! :p )

Distance between forward respawn when attacking last is huge…way to big if you ask me. Compare that to Granary or Gullywash and wonder why turtle defences are more effective on this map. Also we haven’t found the best way to push last yet but it still doesn’t change the fact that last is a bit too easy to defend.

Almost everything favours the defenders; height advantage, right hallway entrance, the distance between the point and other entrances, the little metal sheets covering sentry spot from long range spam and the respawn being extremely close.

A bit of cover for the team attacking like the wall on the right entrance on Granary or the block on the left entrance would help along with making the right corridor bigger (like admirable suggested) or just shortening the distance in the yard, perhaps taking away the spire in the middle and replacing it with more basic cover.

Hi all

As mentioned before rc1 would be out fairly soon, with thanks to Vinchentay spending more time on it! Taking in the constructive feedback only, we’ve changed the spawn structure for cp1, which now allows people who spawn a chance to stop the capture point being capture and obviously makes rollouts much quicker when arriving on cp2 or cp3…

Spawn wave times have now been reset due to the spawn at cp1 changing too, so all the timings and capping/backcap’s should work in order.

I’ve added a fence on the right side (when attacking cp1) to give the attacker team some cover and a passage to enter capture point 1 without having to use the uber early, that way it should be easier to break a turtled defence, along side this, the new spawns means snipers can actually snipe at the door and then scurry back into spawn, the bad news is for them is that if you go for the point they can’t save it in time.

Alot of people have told me this map is no longer sniper friendly which frankly it isn’t, not like the old one for sure, capture point 1 now has a intermediate sniping level for defenders and a difficult one for attackers still ^.^

There’s not been any dramatic changes all optimization ones and clippings and holes found in the map etc!

Either way, i will speak to Canfo to see if he can put out a msg to use rc1, I would prefer people use this version as the rollouts and spawning at cp1 is easier and so on… (this is in regards to the excello cup) :P

Made a quick runthrough and took some pictures :)

Please also just get rid of the obsolete areas in spawn, the way that you’ve done it with keeping the redundant doorway and barricading the old cabinet area just looks absolutely terrible.
