By the way – less talk, more action. So, more good electronic music – don´t care if it fits your definition of "techno", but it matches my needs for good electronic music to listen to….

Admirable win’s this thread easily especially for including a Ritchie Hawtin track.
Techno mainly grew out of Detriot in the late 80’s, pioneered by the likes of Derrick May/Juan Atkins who were influenced by the old Kraftwerk stuff. It had a more melancholic edge to it unlike the early House which contained a lot of vocal loops.
