I believe you need to redirect Lawena (and I can only assume you do the same for PLDX) to alter the config files in their new locations.
To quote Sylver from tf.tv;
Go to the Lawena folder and edit the tfdir.lwf file with notepad. Change the first line to your correct directory.

When i’m doing the “verify integrity of game cache” it takes daaaamn long, should it do so?

This is normal. It will probably also sit on 100% for a few minutes. Just be patient :)
