How does this split the community? Nobody is stopping you sitting in both chans. Besides, community split has already happened with prem teams goin esl anyway..

Just to clear this up; the chan exists. That is all.
Nobody is forcing you to join. Don’t agree with it? Move on. It’s just there for the people that do see the added value.

tf.wars is old channel, make tf.wars.unlocks for unlock users or state it in your war search.
