It’s just all together sad especially for that open teams with definetely open players. The roster changes on those teams didn’t even matter for them so much.

http://etf2l.org/teams/23616/
2 games with new roster – 2 losses

http://etf2l.org/teams/23729/
4-2 win and 6-0 lose

http://etf2l.org/teams/18444/
6-0 win against worst team in high, and 4-2 lose against VVV

http://etf2l.org/teams/23000/
2 x 4-2 wins agains one team of perma offclasser that wanted be in mid, and gun art which is hardly high team as well

How those changes were unfair and gave those teams advantage?

why playing with 5 new people is bad?

because you are put into a div based on your roster and how well your team have done with that roster in scrims building up to the season, and if you change more than half your roster are you still the same team? no

This league was so much better when permzilla was still admin

Then put a restriction on numbers of roster changes not ban people from competition. If you want to do it that way. But it will end up on more teams dropping down, you really don’t care about number off players?

I’ve read the whole thing and I think this is going way too far imo
What do you even expect from the admins? They’re not going to change rules just because you’re complaining about something you thought was wrong.
Sometimes I don’t even think you’re reading what everyone is writing.

Just let the admins do their work. You clearly don’t see how hard it is to take such decisions.

It’s not how it works like, for example just because Your team got a Legit Hacker but you still lost the official, it does not give him a right to walk freely without getting a ban, same here, just because you changed your roster by more than 50% but your team is still doing bad or worse, it does not give your team a right to continue playing in this League, rules are the rules, as Sonny Black said, if you’re changing your roster by more than 50%, contact one of the admins, he’ll look into those players and give his verdict if team is eligible to play or not.

Wow we’re now comparing getting better as a team to hacking. Nice one.
You don’t know anything about my work as an admin not in etf2l but in other places. I was harsh but I was sincere with people and sometimes I was on their said. ETF2L admins acting like they are from another planet.

I had no time to come up with something better

People are overlooking the issue because of who started the thread.

Those teams look more like they are poorly run rather than any kind of hijacking. Why are you pointlessly dropping teams when there are so few highlander teams this season? Why isn’t this approach used when a 6v6 team changed 3 of its starting roster? Why couldn’t you just run highlander like you run 6v6 where teams decided their own divisions and deal with less pointless bullshit like this?

Having to deal with pointless stuff like this is what stops people from making highlander teams (as someone who had to deal with pointless bullshit in Season 6 and will not run another HL team in ETF2L).

You cannot babysit the teams, but you decide to look on them based on “hijack” even if 5 new people is in roster, why playing with 5 new people is bad?

I literally explained that here:
Quoted from Sonny Black

Generally this rule exists and is enforced to ensure that a team playing against a certain team at the start of the season, has the same chances for the sake of fairness compared to another team playing the same team at the end of the season. If a team replaces over half of their active players mid season, it can be unfair to the teams they played earlier in the season (if they are replacing better players with worse) or unfair to the teams they are playing later in the season (if they are replacing worse players with better ones).

That’s the problem with you I feel, you just seem to ignore everything not supporting your statements. Which brings me back to the broken record metaphor. :>

Opening threads again and again after they were closed/deleted is only tolerated so long. Its only a one day ban though.

If cases arise we are obviously looking at context and circumstances. But we cannot do that for all the teams pre-emptively, thats what I meant.

Edit:

Who says we are treating 6v6 teams differently? If a team replaces 50% or 50%+ they will be dropped. Often enough teams contact us in advance to avoid these situations though. More often than highlander teams apparently.
Where exactly do teams decide their own divisions in 6v6 btw?

4hp

You should contact the teams suspect of hijacking and give them an opportunity to explain their situation. Dropping first and asking questions later is not a fair policy.
