Rule Updates, P-REC and Admirable Interview / kaidus’ Interview Outtakes

6v6 and Fun Team Rosters caps
6v6 teams should not have more than 13 players listed on their rosters, starting the day they play their first official in Season 15 powered by BlackOut Gaming. Please make sure your 6v6 rosters do not exceed 13 members, otherwise your most recently added players may be removed.
Future competitions involving Fun Teams will have a maximum roster size of 20, same as the Highlander roster size.
The point of this change is to ensure that a team’s ETF2L roster reasonably represents the line-ups they may freely use in a competition, to opponents and admins alike.
P-REC has been updated for Steam Pipe
Orange has released a new version of P-REC, a client plugin that allows players to automatically records POV demos in TF2’s tournament mode.
To install the plugin, simply extract the content of the archive into your …tf/custom folder. Do not forget to say thanks in the P-REC forum thread!
Important note: The earliest release of the new version contained a version of OpenPlugin, a third party tool that is banned in ETF2L. This may only affect about 50 people, chances are very high that you downloaded the later release. Please make sure the archive you installed the new P-REC version from only contains the following files:
- …/prec/addons/prec.vdf
- …/prec/addons/prec.dll
- …/prec/addons/prec.cfg
You may have to delete the following files from your …/tf/custom folder:
- …/prec/hfx.dll
- …/prec/hfx.pdb
- …/prec/addons/prec.dll_
the …/prec/sound folder(This folder will be recreated with your next game launch)
All requested demos should be uploaded to ETF2L
It is now possible to upload demo files up to 60 MB in size, which should be more than enough for most demos.
If one more demos are requested by an opponent or an admin and the individual demos do not exceed 60 MB in size, the demos must to be uploaded to ETF2L – demos uploaded to third party hosting will no longer be accepted.
ETF2L Season 14 Premiership Interview with kaidus – Outtakes
huhystah has stitched together some funny outtakes of Admirable’s Season 14 Premiership interview with kaidus. Additionally, our Premiership Ambassador himself gets interviewed by TeamFortress.TV’s djc. Enjoy!

rofl:)
Player limit seems like an unnecessary rule. There are plenty of community teams/mix teams with more players because they don’t have a standard line-up but just play with those who are available that evening.
I’d at least consider exceptions for the lower divisions. Otherwise, it’ll just lead to more mercs being used and more default wins.
Eh. Did you mess up the video? That’s one outtake and then the interview of Admirable by djc.
Wait, did Valve sign a version of OpenPlugin?
no fraac they signed only p-rec
Warmaster: I doubt it will really affect anyone. I have yet to see the team that uses more than 13 different players in one season. Granted, some teams may have to remove their inactive honorary members but you can still list them in your team description, if they are important to you. Also remember that you are allowed to change players on your roster during the season.
crouton: Yes, you are correct. I have changed the description.
fraac: No, you misunderstood. The first archive that was provided included some junk files. Valve has only signed P-REC.
what is the purpose of the requested demos thing? to catch more cheaters or…?
In 13 seasone of etf2l this is the first rule to affect a team im in. And its a real bad one. I get it if the higher division teams need to be representable but we are just a fun team with a lot of dutch players who are either retired or new and we use a lot of them. Might be over 13, who knows. Its a pathetic rule and i suggest removing it at least for the lower divs.
nibo: If demos get uploaded to other hosters they often expire and after a while we cannot download it anymore. On etf2l it wont expire.
Vlijm: No :>
But Solar has a different lineup in every match.
is there any chances getting banned if i was one of those 50 peoples? i was already playing some pcw’s with that hfx.dll thingy
Don’t worry, jacat. As far as I know, you’d need to do a bit more to run OpenPlugin now.
well i guess my modmic is waiting for me somewhere out there
Solar’s roster is still massive, what happens if they don’t remove players? Also why can’t you just set a limit? Any attempt to add more people than what’s allowed will be denied.
