ok so I have this problem all source engine games. My game freezes for about 2 sec, every 1-2 minutes. This is really frustrating, since I often lose 1v1 rocketjumps, etc. because of it.

I am running Win 7 64 bit, and I have tried every single solution I could dig up from the interwebz.

I read somewhere RefreshLock helped, it didnt.

Updated all my drivers, didnt work.

upgraded RAM, didnt work.

Installed on different HDD. didnt work

Fixed overheating CPU, got significant FPS boost, but still stutters.

Reinstalled Win 7. didnt work

Unistalled tf2, verifed game files, defragged etc. didnt work

turned off aero, didnt work (thanks sidey)

aaand way more shit.

My Specs:
Intel Q8300 @ 2.5GHz
Radeon HD 5830
4 GB RAM
Windows 7 64 bit

If I dont get a fix for this, I might kill every living creature around me. It is driving me INSANE.

I had, but I THINK I fixed it, not really sure though.

you wont believe how many headshots are missed because of this

I had the same problem and couldnt fix it. Switch back to xp :)
