this, i wanna give it a go aswell
What size of monitor do you have? Amazing no one has asked this yet. :P
Assuming 22″ (or smaller) then this system should do brilliant.
CPU: Core i5 750
RAM: 4GB of the Cheapest quality brand 1333Mhz DDR3 you can find
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L
Hard Drive: 500GB Seagate/Samsung (whichever is cheaper where you are buying from)
GFX: ATI Radeon 4890
PSU: Corsair VX-450 (i know its expensive and 450watt dosen’t sound like much, but trust me)
Case: Totally opinion and i’ll leave it to you, but my advice would be not to get a cheap one.
DVD Drive: Its a DVD drive, it really dosen’t matter. Just as long as its SATA, it should be fine. :)
nub question. psu with 500Watts is enough for a c2d E8500 + powercolor 4980 + p5k-se + 2 gb ram. ? :s

Suppose I’ll explain this.
500watt PSU dosen’t really mean anything. That Corsair VX-450 I suggested is probably more capable of running either of these systems than a shitty-no-brand 800watt PSU. Generic PSU’s are almost always terrible. for example in australia, theres a brand who make crappy PSU’s called Shaw. IT techs I know there just refer to them as legalised explosives. :P
So pretty much, that C2D system will run happily on any decent 500watt PSU.
Perhaps we should just get a thread for “build this PC on this budget”, would make it easy for people… would only need updating every few months :b

Yes, that config will need about 250Watts :p
Well i doubt you’ll want to build your pc if your not too sure what your doing as this will always cause flustration and complications, if money isnt really that much of an object i would suggest the following :-
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/pc/range/iriss.html
(Either of the 2 depends on budget)
Or if you reaaaly dont care about budget
http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/pc/range/annihilator&rogue.html
(Spensive)Anything from novatech is always quality bought from them for years and competative prices. Any of their gaming pc’s will last you over 2 years for sure mines 1.5 years old and just bought cod mw2 and runs fine med-high gfx.
I’ve built before (have a friend who knows his stuff that helped), but I’ll admit it was a tedious as fuck process for me nonetheless. How much money would I be losing going to somewhere like this?

Novatech are actually pretty good, as are scan for PC building…
I’d reckon 100/150 ish loss if you buy a prebuilt from them, not sure though, cba to check properly
