Good headsets??

You kinda need to have a headset if you play on stage @ lan. Table mics just don’t work with all the noise there. Also, not all the headphones are that well suited for gaming. For example I had these pretty expensive Philips headphones which were great for music but didn’t give good enough stereo image so you couldn’t tell which direction the sounds in game were coming from.
And the guy who recommended Fatal1ty headseats is trolling, right? Had those a few years ago and they were simply awful in every way. Bad sound quality (unusable for listening music at least), not comfortable, cheap materials and they broke down very quickly.

Don’t buy Philips then I’d say. Had 2-3 different Sennheisers and 2 AKG’s and they all gave very good stereo imaging. Enough to get me accused of wallhacking on publics in css :P.

I use Phillips Creative Ghetto Gamer. It consists of 10 euro Phillips headphones, a 1 euro 3.5mm extension cord and the plugin microphone from the Creative Fatal1ty headest. Also super glue.
I recommend this.

1. Manly Bass 8)
2. Crisp sounds
3. Comfort
4. Build Quality
5. LongevityI’m willing to spend alot of money for it if its worth it. I’d say maximum of £100 (around 130 euros).

Ah a Bass boy, then Sennheiser what would be my weapon of choice.
Sennheiser HD 280 Pro <– this bad boy would be something you would love then.
Though of course there is other manufacturers basshead phones:
Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro
Denon AH-D2000
Audio-Technica ATH-M50
Anyways these are good examples for proper headphones, pricing changes a lot trough europe so I would keep looking for a while. One good thing about headphones are that most people keep them really well and resell them in ebay's and such. Usually headphones are like fine wine, they get better during time.
