FPP has now started a new TF2 fragmovie project. Our aim is to make the coolest and best looking TF2 movie yet. For this we need your help. We need both 1st person and stv demos with awesome frags or with something else that might be movie material. If you want to be featured in the movie, please send your demos to me or kent. We are both on #etf2l @ quakenet. Remember to include timestamps when you send the demos. Otherwise we’ll be spending most of our time just watching through the demos.

If you’re interested in seeing our previous game movie release, visit http://etf2l.org/forum/movie/topic-125/?recent=820

We got good feedback from that one but we intend to make this TF2 movie a lot better :)

I know that alot of guys lost footage through the patches but have saved some of the shots to various movie formats – are you interested only in actual demos?

Demos only please. Unless you happen to have a lossless widescreen 720p (or higher) video without a hud. Then we can use the video as well :)

Moose you have something like ETFcam for tf2?

He’ll probably record in-game using ‘startmovie’ and than render the pdf files out using VDub…

Mmm, yea he didn’t mean that boomting. ETFCam is the program we used to create the smooth camera motion for ETF eXtreme. That doesn’t work for for TF2 but there are some tools like http://forums.litfusefilms.com/showthread.php?t=300

Not quite sure if we can get as good camera runs with these but we’ll try. Or maybe we’ll hire yli to program another camera tool for us again :)

Sir

Must be hard work when every tf2 update kills demos lol

kives

ye it is, if someone have old tf2 version backup i would love to get it and instructions how to install it without steam starting to update it again!

Janusz

Think its about time Valve allow for a download of pre-patched TF2. After all, any movies made are just more advertising for their game.

Sir

Wonder if riemu still has “contact” with one of the tf2 development team, maybe its something he can put forward again, but im sure he probably already has mentioned in the past ;/
