Hi ETF2L!

Lately, I’ve been working on a map called cp_repository, and I intend to have it playtested so I can get some feedback and improve the map.

cp_repository is to take place at a storage building and its headquarters. The map is going to use a trainyard-esque style where the mid point is where the freight trains deposit their stuff, the second point is at a storage building where containers of goods are stored, and the third point takes place at the headquarters of the storage building.

NOTE: To the disappointment of many a players, there are not going to be any moving trains in this map, I will never add those.

Right now the map is on alpha. It has basic lighting but no optimisation yet. If you plan to playtest this map in a double mix or something, please add me and I’ll see if I can make time to spectate the map.

i’ve played this map 2 times now and it has alot of potential, the mid is really good

I’d say the healthpacks on last are a little much since its so small, maybe make it small instead of 50%

Is… is it fullbright? Judging only by the screenshots provided, it is. Put some lights in it then take proper screenshots.
You’ve said there isn’t proper lighting yet but at least add a basic light_environment and some basic indoor lights, nobody likes playing on a fullbright map.

Look at the screenshots again. Do you see how much in beta the map still is? Such details aren’t important at all at this stage.

I 100% agree with this, the map is even in second or third alpha version :D

Yep, lights are coming in a3. Nothing fancy, just some basic lighting to make the playtesters less annoyed.

Well even if it’s the very first alpha_alpha putting in a light_enviroment is a second of work so there’s no excuse for fullbright.

Well, a lot of the map is indoors so putting out a light_environment would mean that these areas would be completely dark, so it’s a little bit more of a second’s work. But it’s true, I was a bit too eager to get the map out for playtesting. Basic lighting will be added in the next version of the map to make play testing more enjoyable.

Alpha 3 released!

Changelog:
– Changed name on the map to repository as the old name was already used in another map
– Added basic lighting, to reduce monotony for playtesters
– Moved third forward spawn so it is on the high ground and faced towards the opponents
– Removed drop-down
– Removed med kit near last point
– Made last point less defendable from inside the spawn
– Reworked lobby, made it bigger
– Made the “flank” route on last much bigger
– Added space behind the point
– Made the upper route from mid to second chokier
– Lowered the route under mid point

Depth perception is generally a thing people like to be able to have when they play maps, just sayin.
