eXtv: ESH Sennheiser Challenge Finals

With 500 euros up for grabs, the finals of the Esports Heaven’s Sennheiser Challenger were played on 2/25/10 between TCM-Gaming and I Don’t Know? (idk?). The 64 team single elimination tournament played over the course of 3 days culminated with this best of 3 series between these two European Giants.

Badlands, the first map in the bo3, was tied 4-4 after 30 minutes of play. An overtime Golden Cap round was won by idk?. The second map was a different story, with TCM-Gaming storming Granary 5-0. GullyWash, rarely seen in the North American TF2 Scene, is the deciding 3rd map.

Still some mis-pronouncing and excuses, but I love this coverage. Keep up the good work. Btw, badlands match of TCM vs idk? was a bit more exciting than gullywash, imho. I’d love to see that match covered aswell. Especially some highlights on the last minute TCM rush.

Love these casts. I don’t get time to watch games live and don’t tend to watch demo’s so enjoy catching games on your eXtv reels with the replays from key moments and different pov’s! One suggestion though: When you link to them on YouTube, why don’t you create a playlist of the four parts and link to that. I guess thats just me being lazy and not wanting to find and click each one separately though.

Edit: Posted before fully watching this one. Would have liked to have seen more replays of key moments like you had in the previous one. Caps like where the scout had come up from the water behind everyone while fights were going on or Cubes attack as a soldier on the final one for 2:2 where he jumped in and bounced away the medic and soldier trying to block it, or key medic kills. JH had some good sniper shots/runs too that would have been exciting. I guess this would have made the vod too lengthy though which is why it wasn’t done here? The map was pretty action packed, I am just thinking from the perspective of using this to get people interested in TF2 that aren’t currently that don’t see those bits whereas TF2 players understand it more.

After a tentative third round, this game really gets BLOWN’D UP in the fourth when JH goes sniper and kritzkrieg comes out. I would have liked to have seen some of JH’s shots on Springer in first person.

I agree with the need for first person, maybe just for some really important clutch plays? I think you did with www .vs diggy with Evil capping last point and how he did.

Awesome work mate, great commentary. Good job doing different maps too, promoting EU used maps in the US. Maybe if a good game comes along, do a US match on cp_mainline since it is pretty much unplayed over here. Keep it up!
