the problem is i cant execute config files without the server crashing.
for example i want to load the wotf2l config so i write
rcon exec wptf2l.cfg
the server crashes after this has been done. i dont really know what to do.

right. of course i type in my rcon password before i try to execute the file

danny.

when u type rcon exec config.cfg then the config need to be uploaded to the server and when u just write exec config.cfg then the config just need to be in ur cfg folder!
But u need to write rcon in front of all config commands

Jazzman

keso

i know that ;)

the configs should be in /tf/cfg

right?

sure, in /tf/cfg/
have you tryed the etf2l-configs?

and maybe you only write:
rcon exec etf2l
“.cfg” is not necessary

Did you personally upload the config file via ftp?

Jazzman

keso

yes i have tried the etf2l cfg too

I will try to execute it without the .cfg

kolox

obs.

Try making a simple config with something like:

say "im god"

And upload that and see if that works. If it does then its a problem with bigger configs or with a command in one of those bigger configs.

Jazzman

keso

ok, that worked, but what can be causing these crashes

Jigsaw

Do you have mani admin installed on your server? If you have, delete it, cuz I had the same problems with mani admin plugin.

Hopefully it works. :P

i dont have any mods installed, its a war server

Joshua

Are these configs downloaded straight from the website today, and not edited at all? There must be something causing it, so when you say you have no mods installed, what exactly has been changed from the standard dedicated server install?

Jazzman

keso

added some maps, edited the server.cfg and added .cfgs

and yes they are downloaded directly from the site

Joshua

Can you post the contents of any other configs on the server (with sensitive details blanked out of course)

Also post the logs of when the server crashes, if you can’t understand them yourself.

Jazzman

keso

do you mean take a screen shot of the cfg folder?
