Staff Changes
We are saddened to announce that due to other occupations, 
kindred will be stepping down from his position on the AC team. kindred has been a valuable asset to the AC team for almost 15 months now, not only providing his time and knowledge to keep ETF2L cheat-free, but also in improving the methods in which this was done. We wish him well in all his future endeavours.

These players have been caught with VAC bans affecting TF2, and will be banned from the league for one year:

Anti-Cheat Staff Applications
With kindred stepping down, this time we are looking to trial two more individuals to join the AC staff. Users that have already attempted applying for AC staff can also re-apply.
AC members need to be trustable and have a good sense of morality, as well as being excited by the detective work & the technical aspects of the source engine that comes with demo viewing and cheats and such. It’s also important to have no bias and be respectful of the democratic process on voting.
Please don’t be intimidated to apply, it’s a position that you can really only improve on with real experience.
Check these guidelines for a more in-depth description of the application process. If you don’t fill out the application properly, we will likely deny your application. Promising candidates with an extensive application will be interviewed and welcomed to staff.

ETF2L has banned some high profile players who got caught cheating in a DM server in the past.
Obviously there is no log or demo to be reviewed in those cases.

Not trying to sound like a dick or anything, I’ve played against zhevor more than a few times recently. I have to say, his aimbot is really top quality, it so undetectable that it even misses spun up heavies occasionally.
There must be something in the demos that he submitted that gave it away though, good thing he didn’t get away.
Give them some credit guys. I mean I know they’re filthy cheaters and all but maybe they’re not stupid enough to cheat in officials/scrims or even lobbies? Maybe they cheat on pubs and alts, still deserves a ban but ofc there is no demo…
I don’t understand why people are questioning the bans. The AC team is obviously more tech savvy than the general public, and there’s no incentive for them to ban players unnecessarily and without a solid (heh) base for it.
It’s also counter-intuitive to demand transparency in these cases, because shedding knowledge on the AC process would give the cheaters insight into how to avoid being caught.

I was just curious, it actually never occurred to me that you could get banned for cheating in a pub or lobby. I agree with it now that I know, but never thought of it.
