Wondering if anyone from the UK is having a particularly good experience with their current ISP? I’m currently on TalkTalk and their service has been nothing short of shit, to be honest, not least because of this sort of crap: http://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47364

Anyone got an ISP that they would recommend?

Virgin media, but I’m pretty much the only person I know not to have massive problems with them.

I’ve dealt with a lot of people helping them get their internet setup. I can safely say that (at least in the town where I live), Virgin seem to the best… until you need to call customer support that is.

Have to give ADSL24 a big +1 if Virgin isn’t available in your area.

you have been getting it probably because of their faire usage policies (download a lot in a day time and we will cut the download speed in half – every hour while still downloading until it will reach 2 mbps :P)

Virgin media was a good choice for me until something went wrong. their customer service is shit and there is nothing you can do about it. Apart of that, they offer quality broadband (but i guess it depends on where you live). Didnt have problem with quality of connection while living in B’ham area and Notts area either

I dunno how accurate this site is, but it suggests all of the packages available in your area, you can sort them by speed, price, download limit, etc.: http://top10.com/broadband/

Im on BE aswell, its great and customer support is unbelievable. You can also set up a fast path and turn on gaming mode which drops your ping by like 20.
