Theres already a number of upcoming things that can tie in nicely to the free to play publicity, so no worries.
The kritz only cups that have been announced a while back are still being worked on and should give some nice action hopefully.
Q. Won’t going Free to Play mean more griefers and cheaters?
We’re increasing our focus on making sure that hostile players can’t ruin your fun. Specifically, we’ll be keeping a close eye on players exploiting the ability to make infinite free accounts to bypass bans. We’ve built systems that’ll allow us to measure and track what these players are doing, and respond quickly.

Can’t wait to see players getting banned on their main accounts for hacking on free accounts.
Now I can just farm shitloads of hats with over 9000 alts, just like the good ol’ WoW.

Just tried playing, it’s gone from find a class you love to make a class if you suck at aiming with scout/demo/whatever.

if you opdered tf2 in the last 30 days, just contact steam support, im sure they can help you

One tiny problem with that, how are you going to move them from your alt account which can only receive items to your main account without spending any money.

Valve has built a system which takes care of the cheaters, in other words, there is none, tf2 is Valves cash cow now.
