I know it’s not possible everywhere, but maybe give it a shot on at least the health numbers :)

I tried the combination of antialiasing and outlines, and I didn’t like the result. There were transparent or completely empty areas within the outline, especially noticable at lower resolutions. With antialiasing turned off the letters and outline go edge to edge.

I don’t want to use 8-shadows, since the result varies greatly depending on the resolution. The game often has to approximate a lot while rendering because of the low resolution coordinate grid and it can really put stuff out of place. I like to be consistent and the ammo panel doesn’t allow for more than a few labels. I also like the sleek look, even if it’s a bit jagged.

Actually, I did try it just now, and imgur converts all my pngs to jpgs [Link] . There’s a noticable difference in clarity, so I’ll stick with Imageshack for now.

Is 1080 height supported? I saw you did 1050 and 1200 but 1080 is not mentioned.

Soon. I have half a dussin people testing it right now. It’s quite possibly the final version. I’ll release it when I’m confident that it’s working properly and everything is in place.

I’ll make sure to rephrase that for the next release. The only reason it doesn’t support certain resolutions is that there is a scoreboard tailored for each one. It was necessary to make it look the same on all resolutions. For some reason Valve made it so that if you align everything on one resolution it will be a complete mess if you switch to another. Maybe I’ll do some more of them later. For now, it’s pretty easy to adjust it yourself. I’ll write down some instructions on how to do it. If you run into trouble, ask me and I’ll help you out.

If there was a permanent reading of last damage dealt somewhere, then I’d use this for definite.

I don’t feel the need for that, but maybe that’s because I use hitsounds. I what situations do you find that useful and where would you put it?

Well as a demo there are just so many times where you don’t see the damage indicator, and personally my gauging of damage based on sound pitch is pretty poor. If it was to go on there, I guess in a smaller font next to the health reading could work (off the top of my head).

I agree that would be the best place to put them. I’ll make this an addon to make it optional. [Link]
