Sergeant Brown

(I was originally thinking about editing my previous post, but since my editing essentially redid the post from scratch, I decided to just close the previous one and make a new one instead)

Hello-hello, welcome to a LFT recruitment post just like any other (or at least it would be if people cared enough about finding a team for them to put some effort into their LFT posts).

I'm "Sergeant Brown" — though you can just call me "Brown" — and I'm an Open-level Roaming Soldier main who wishes join a team to play in Season 28 of ETF2L's 6v6 League, and hopefully to play any other following ones.

I'm above everything else a player who wants to win and wants to have fun winning, and I've come to the conclusion that 6v6 has become the next step forward for me in-game, which is why I'm willing to go as far as I possibly can into it. I usually find myself capable of keeping a focused head throughout the game, though I'm not too talkative on the mic as a whole (I try to provide info to the team from my side whenever possible, but essentially, don't expect me to call much outside of self/enemy positioning and bombing Demo/Medics).

I also prefer to play a couple Scrims per week over other training methods, as I find them to be the best way to improve for me; since I've yet to find the need in an actual match to perform specific jump sequences that require more than 4 rockets and to abide by Shotgun Soldier "rules" when facing 1v1 scenarios, I've deemed MGE/Jump maps as too flawed for what my role asks of me. If for some illogical reason you got offended/salty from what I just said, you can just go back from whence you came. You won't be missed one bit, trust me.

Are you still around? Great, then that means we might just be on the same wavelength (or you found me at least interesting enough to look past the fact I just undermined the most common ways to practice "basic" Soldier skills).

As a Roamer, I've gotten used to play a hybrid style of the role, capable of holding the flank line for as long as necessary while still managing to pull something out of an aggressive play when required; how I can switch between one and the other in a match is at this point mostly up to Trial-&-Error, but I usually default to being a passive flank-holder if all else fails. I also offclass to Heavy and Spy in moments where being a Gunboats Soldier just isn't advantageous for me, but I can still play Roamer throughout an entire match if the rest of the team has it covered.

Just know that I'll only be available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 18h to 22h (CET/CEST), and that I should always be available on those days for the rest of the year unless I've warned you otherwise in advance. Oh and lastly, I can use both Discord and Mumble, but as the underdog hipster that I am I'm much more used to Discord.
