My dear friends my only request is for you to simply lend me a minute of your time, I'm going to word this as eloquently/clearly as possible so you perhaps will better understand the situation on hand.

A little about myself to start off with, my name is Keith Smerbeck (BUICK). I've always been some sort of NA TF2 personality with videos/articles/shoutcasting/streaming forever but I have also played competitive medic in North America for nearly 7 years now, ranging everywhere from invite levels to 8v8 (think early 2008.) As I've gotten older my urge to play has never wavered, but my location/internet always has. Now the middle of next week I am moving to a new place with intention to take TF2 quite seriously again, yes this is fucking nerdy reason to move. No, I do not care. Wired (for once) fiber optic internet with 130mb/s DL and 30+mb/s upload.

This means a unwavering 90 – 115ms ping to most of Euroland as I live in the Northeast US, Pennsylvania to be exact. Alas, this brings up the next few questions.

Q1. Why do you want to play in Europe Keith?

A. My work schedule. I work as a graphic designer for a local theatre/ESL tutor and European play/scrim times work much better with my schedule.

A2. I play medic. If I played any other class I wouldn't dare fathom such a feat but over the years I have become desensitized to playing with Europeans/friends and have been able to overcome the ping. A drop is on me, not on the ms. I do not blame ping and there is always something I could have done better.

Q2. Who do you think you are? 'Prem/Div1?!' You're insane.

A. Give me a trial and decide for yourself. I assure you I can play at the top level, and I have finally been able to put myself in a position internet wise to do so. Do you realize how exciting this is for me/how serious I get to finally take it? Worst case scenario you can laugh about the stupid fucking American who thought he was good. Sounds like a decent deal.

Lastly, some information about my play-style:

I do not main call anymore.. this is an active choice based on what I deem fitting to focus on. If you need a field general barking orders those days are past me, though this is not a bad thing as anyone who has played comp tf2 for any amount of time will realize, especially at higher levels. I'm instead focusing on math/advantages/triage. I play a reactionary style, but obviously can adjust as my mind is still fluid like the deepest, most beautiful ocean. I adore medic mechanics/strategy and everything in regards to the class, I simply cannot express this enough. I should say I will consider backup but my bones ache to play.

Language wise I speak English, and if the need exists I can comm/listen in German very effectively.

Thank you for your time, this may come across more like a dating profile than a recruitment post but based on the premise of playing in Euroland I thought it was fitting. Regardless maybe we can even go out on a date, if you'd prefer.
