It was a sunny day on Barnblitz 2nd point. Most of our team was destroyed by Russian wasp infestation and those who survived already retreated. Trapped together in that clumsy attic, Goreston and me tried to do our best and survive the onslaught. Rockets were flying, rollers were rolling, snipers were sniping, bullets were bulleting – but instead of falling back into the security of our own numbers, Goreston (a middle aged person, mind you) called out a single sentence:
“Res, look at my eyes.”
His eyes were burning with screams and numerous Russian deaths; this lunatic Pyro feasted on their Slavic souls. His scorched earth strategy payed off. I was trying to convince him that our base needs us, that we should retreat, but he wouldn’t hear of it. He decided to flank Russian flanks, and to this day I still regret not going with him. The last I heard from him was his maniacal laughter in the distance. Ever since Valve updated the self-damage numbers, my dear lunatic pyro lost his will to live.
Nobody knows what happened to him, but his eternal flame will always stay near my heart.
