Server Refresh ?!

Hi o/

Im having some trouble with refreshing my server list. Sometimes its fine and refreshes and other times it will refresh and wont let me connect to servers or even just not refresh and show servers!

Im stressed! anyone help please?

I have this problem too :/ Been around since the shogun update.

master servers are acting up,

go to windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
open with notepad

add this line:
192.71.238.76 hl2master.steampowered.com

then open cmd (from start>run or whatever)
ipconfig /release

np

or if its killing your router (throttling),

Go to Start > Run and type in: regedit.
Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Valve/Steam.
Create a new string value registry setting named CafeRate.
Give the CafeRate regkey a value of 10000 and progressively decrease the value until the issue is resolved. A rate of 3000 should be considered the minimum value.

Do not do this! My friend tried it and now his internet is fucked up. Everytime he tries to join a server he gets disconnected for no reason.

There’s nothing unreasonable about his suggestion. If your friend is having problems its because he did something wrong.

1) it says if his router was throttling
2) just change it back lol
