Hello lovely etf2l forum users, recently I got some money to spend on some gaming gear, the only thing I lack at the moment is mechanical keyboard. I’ve never experienced any mechanical keyboard so far, so I’m pretty weak in making decision. I’ll be very thankful if you can advice me the best choice for around 150$ (prefered at Amazon), can’t afford a keyboard worth more than 150$ though.

Depends if you need one with a numpad or not, need your preferred size, function etc.

Ducky Shines are pretty decent keyboards, filco are pretty well made, poker3 is pretty solid and has a very small profile.

If you only get it from amazon though you are restricting yourself as massdrop has loads of keyboards and in some cases you can get it cheaper than anywhere local to you.

Maybe setup your mic/voice activation property…

first of all your need to decide about switch type [red, blue, browen and black maybe more..]
after that you need to decide which other stuff you want [lights, full mechanical..]

after you do both of these stuff you will probably need to decide between few keyboards, and probably simple youtube review will help.

i got corsair k90, and i realy like it.

I’m probably going to get shit for this but I have been using the Razer Blackwidow for more than a year now and despite me spilling water multiple times on it (because I am an idiot) it still works as good as it did on day 1. I think you can also get it in all shapes and forms (numpad, lighting etc)
It’s also pretty great for writing once you get used to it.

My team says they can sometimes here it in mumble but if you properly set up voice activation/ptt this shouldn’t really be a problem.

*Edit: It’s also relatively cheap considering that it’s a razer product.

Is this one worth to buy? http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-Ultimate-Mechanical/dp/B00EJ8CKIY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1433191340&sr=8-5&keywords=cm+storm+keyboard

Yes it is.
Also, i vote for Blackwidow as well. After 3 (?) years of using it, still works flawlessly. It’s really comfortable to write stuff and play. Plus the tactile feeling is really satisfying.

The new Corsair Strafe looks pretty good value for money. I personally like the Omron switches in the Logitech G910 too.

if you need a backlit mech keyboard, either pick some cm storm, most of them are really nice, corsair K70/K70 RGB, corsair strafe (when it comes out), ducky (they’re all very good built, just pick the one you like more).

Also if you want more specific infos i suggest you go visit this http://www.overclock.net/f/373/keyboards

by far one of the best forum about keyboards, together with geekhack and deskthority
