So my two years old Siberia v2s just decided to stop working on the left side all of a sudden. The cables are all fine on the outside, so I don’t think anything can be done.

What I need is a headset that has great sound quality and will last for years. I’m ready to pay 100+ euros. Having a built-in mic would be a bonus, but a seperate one will do as well.

HD 558 is a good choice, too

Oh and if you plan to stream you can’t enable GX mode (or smart volume either) or it wont pick up the audio.

Don’t use GX anyway. It was responsible for my games crashing with an audio loop, and when I described the symptoms to my community’s resident wizard he instantly guessed that I had a DG with GX on.

They arrived today and the sound is DIVINE. I disabled GX mode and put Exciter mode on, but what is Hi-Fi mode? Also changed the effect from Generic (had a terrible echo on voice) to Padded Cell, but left other settings untouched for now.

So what does Exciter mode actually do? I noticed it changes the maximum volume, but it makes me have to keep the volume at like 5 or it gets too loud.
