Hey guys, some of you will probably remember me as the laggy fucker but yeah, it’s all sorted soon, but that’s not why I’m here. Basically I’m looking into a new computer and I’ve made one on PC Specialist (www.pcspecialist.co.uk) and I just wondered if someone could tell me:

1) Will it run tf2 and other games well?
2) Is it worth the amount of money I’m prepared to pay for it?
3) If not, what shall I downgrade to?

So yeah, the specs are:
Intel i5 quad core @ 3.10 GHz
4gb RAM
ATI Radeon 5670
500 GB HDD

The total price for it is £673 (inc. a monitor)

So yeah, thanks in advance for anyone can help me with this. :)

seems like a decent enough price for those specs, including the monitor and yes it should run tf2 easily…. didnt do any research on the specs before hand so its an off the top of my head appraisal.

im on a q6600 with a 4870 and get 100+fps on max settings so with 4gb ddr2 ram. so tht system should be fine.

Hmmn, I got it all for £290, which monitor did you choose?

Your graphics card is not great, but TF2 is very CPU dependent, if you don’t plan to play other graphics intensive games you’ll be fine.

That gpu isn’t enough for any other games tbh, and it will require fps configs in tf2. (you wont be able to play on max graphics) And is that i5 a new gen one or an old gen one?

it will do stable 120 on tf2 with dx9 cfg, but thats about it…. and costs far too much unless u got 120hz alienware monitor

Yup, that’s a plenty decent PC, but I do feel you could get something better for the money if you built it yourself.

the amd hd 5670 is going to cripple you for any other game then tf2 though.
