This is my first, finished, frag movie and proper go at editing. I really did have to learn everything trough trial & error, though I got some really good advice from people like Helberg and, yesterday :P, MightyMe. I’m only a ex-div5 medic + most of the clips are from TF2 Lobby (I know, I know, that’s just all I’ve been playing for the last couple of months), so don’t expect any awesome frags and please don’t give so much crap about that.

I really enjoyed the editing at most parts.

Me-me-me-meppiiii, liked very much. Music was diffrent than usual which was only good. Sniper clips were best :<. When we see another video? Good job bro. 9/10

the whole video seemd slowed down. not much, justa bit too slow. waaaaay too dark and ease off the shinyness. rockets are like holy light or something. 3d transtion is from 1990, black screens are unneeded and uncreative. synchro isnt really good, u just synced at a few parts, but its important to sync it everyway.
plus, the music screams for fast paced action and cuts, instead, we have lazy cuts and slowed down footage. that editing would fit within some sort of surrealistic, slow electro music better. also, you sued the 3d text in the beginning, why not use during frags as well? seems displaced atm
frags on the other hand were good, altho sometimes i ask my self, what people play lobby lol. huntsman and heavies who run in the open. fun if you wanna fool around, but not necessary ina fragmovie.

that being said, its your first fragmovie, and therefore a million times better than my first, but next time get a theme, edit it to that, make the clips fit the music, dont make it dark, no 3d transitions and no porn filter lol

About the darkness of it: I had some problems with the colours and brightness; they seemed to be changing when I converted (don’t know if that’s the correct term for it, but I’ll use that) to .mp4 (from a lossless .avi). The first time I converted it, the colours were way too bright, so I decided to darken it a bit the next time. Well, it went way too dark and at that point I was really pissed off about all the problems I had had with codecs and stuff, so I just chose a value that was something in between and just went with it. Evidently, it was too dark.

The shiny rockets were kind of an experiment (as was the whole movie, tbh) and in my personal opinion look some what good, though that seems to be getting comments from both views. Could have left them out but, as stated earlier, I was really pissed off and decided to just go with it.

3D transitions… oh god those were a bad idea, as were most of my transitions. Transitions were a huge problem for me; none of the default transitions from either Vegas or AE looked good and I didn’t know how to do them any other way. That is one major aspect I should’ve asked for help in.

I tried to sync as good as I could, though I wasn’t always so sure what was it best to sync something to (the bass beat or the screams and such). And for the 3d text in the intro and not continuing to do it throughout the movie: most likely, ’cause I did it wrong, it was a real pain in the ass to do those and I just wasn’t ready to put that much effort in to this for a couple of reasons: 1) it was my first movie and I wasn’t even expecting to release it 2) the clips weren’t that good, so the overall movie wouldn’t be that good with my editing skills 3) school and work were taking a big toll on me

Oh god, so many excuses :P

PS. Yes the medic hs @1:10 was luck combined with my odd style of aiming (= random twitching just before shooting :D )
