1st group, beginners:

1 Notably Dangerous
2 Sufficiently Lethal
3 Truly Feared
4 Spectacularly Lethal

2nd group, advanced players:

5 Gore-Spattered
6 Wicked Nasty
7 Positively Inhumane
8 Totally Ordinary

3rd group, professional players:

9 Rage-Inducing
10 Server-Clearing
11 Legendary

Keeping the “strange” naming since it kind of fits the most.

I don’t like this because having a million different ranks just confuses things and it really isn’t clear whether something like ‘server-clearing’ is higher or lower than ‘rage-inducing’.
I like using something like gold/silver/bronze because everyone knows that and there aren’t so many different things to remember. As I said I’d use

Grandmaster
Master
Gold
Silver
Bronze

But you could just have Bronze, Bronze +, Bronze ++, Silver etc if you needed smaller gaps for whatever reason.

The ranks for lower skills should have some numbers like I II III IV and V etc…

Nobody would remember the lower skill ranks if everything had an unique name. CS:GO has a good system IMO.
