The wiki shows typical (not holding cp4) max respawn time of 20 seconds, but respawn windows themselves appear to last 8 seconds (or 7 if holding cp4, and gully seems a bit different). This seems to give a max respawn time for when you die 2 seconds before the end of the current window: 2 + 8 + 8 = 18. Also I don’t recall ever seeing a 20 second respawn. The wiki is wrong, or 5cp configs have changed?
I had a few 22 second respawn times on process in my hl official last night
I see plenty 20sec timers. You usually don’t notice them because you’re still calling where you died, etc pp; and when you first check spawntimes, you spawn in 15sec.
Yeah, I just noticed that.
But still, if you check the length of respawn windows they don’t go above 8 seconds. Could it be min 16, max 24?
