How-To: Create an account

  • Notice: Only registered users are able to use the Forum, register teams and vote on polls.
  • Create an account: (Link) – You will have to enter your correct E-Mail address and TF2 SteamID.
  • Notice for people with Hotmail-Address: Cause of a bug you are not receiving the first E-Mail. If this is the case request an E-Mail including your password: (Link)

How-To: Register a team [any team type]

  1. Register yourself on the site if you don’t have an account yet. (Link)
  2. After you are logged in, you are able to register your team at the Dashboard. (Link) (Example fill-in form)
  3. Once your team is registered, it will be shown at our Teams-List. (Link)
  4. You are able to invite existing users to your teams’ roster at the Team Admin Menu.
  5. You are able to add unregistered users by creating an account for them. (Link) – correct E-Mail address and TF2 SteamID will have to be entered.
  6. If everything is correct, the player will be added to your teams’ roster after 24 hours.
  7. You are able to sign up your team to a league or cup for your team type when we open Sign-Ups (If you have the minimum amount of members and at least 2 contact metods entered). (Link)

How-To: Remove/Add a player from/to your roster (during a running competition)

  • As team leader you will have to enter your correct Steam ID at your profile first.
  • You are able to invite existing users to your teams’ roster at the Team Admin Menu. (Link)
  • You are able to add unregistered users by creating an account for them. (Link) – correct E-Mail address and TF2 SteamID will have to be entered.
  • The new player will be added to your teams’ after 24 hours if all went fine.
  • Every player is allowed to only do one team switch per competition.

How-To: Schedule a game and add it to Calendar

  1. All Fixtures of active competitions can be found on your team profile and separate fixture pages: e.g.: League Fixtures (link), Ladder Fixtures (link)
  2. By clicking on your opponent’s team name, you will find their contact information.
  3. Contact your opponent (we recommend to use IRC) and schedule your game. Be sure you talk about all relevant aspects like Date, Time and Server.
  4. After the game is scheduled, one team leader has to add it to the Calendar. (Link)
  5. The opposing team leader can Accept the date or Reject and enter a new date, at the section Schedule Proposals (link)
  6. Once accepted, the fixture will now be shown at the Calendar.(Link)
  7. Schedule and match deadlines will be added to the calendar and announced in newsposts. Be sure to check regularly and play your games on time.

How-To: Play a game and submit the result

  1. Contact your opponent’s team leader on the day the game is supposed to take place and check if all is fine.
  2. Trade the server IP and password.
  3. Meet on the match server at scheduled date and time.
  4. When all players connected to the server, team leaders will have to make a status screenshot, showing the steamID’s of all players.
  5. Start playing the game and make a scoreboard screenshot in the end of every map. (Exception: cp_gravelpit, which needs a screenshot for every attack/defence round (Example: (link) )
  6. After the game is finished, one team leader has to submit the result at the Dashboard (you will have to upload all screenshots, 1 status, and 1 for each map).
  7. An admin will check scores and SteamIDs as fast as possible. After the game is verified, it will be shown at the Fixtures Page and highlighted by our IRC-Bot (for league games).
  8. Alternatively, if your opponent submitted the scores and screenshot, you can verify it yourself. Go to the matchpage, and make sure the scores and screenshots are correct. If so, you can click the Verify button on the matchpage.

How-To: Borrow ETF2L League Server

  • ETF2L have several sponsored League-Servers by clanserver4u.de and www.n1ping.com- Located in Germany, the Netherlands and France.
  • If you have problems agreeing on a fair/neutral server or if both teams don’t have a server, it is possible to borrow a League-Server.
  • If you want to borrow the league server please contact an admin some days before the game is supposed to be played. We will reserve the server for your game and give you the server details.

How-To: Remove your team

  • In the case your team died/stopped playing please give us a short notice. Contact an admin in IRC or by email. We will set the teams’ status to “dropped” and remove it from any active competitions.
  • All dropped teams can be found at the Dropped-Teams-List. (Link)

How-To: Upload a Demo

  1. You need to be team leader, deputy or war arranger of a registered team.
  2. Upload your Demo to the site. [Link]
  3. After an admin has verified your demo, it will appear on our Demo Section. [Link]

Issue: Opponent is marked as “dropped”

  • Regular League Game: If a team drops during a Season, their results will get deleted and won’t count in the Tables
  • Cup Game: A default win will be entered for you

Issue: Problems reaching your opponent

  • If you fail reaching your opponent to schedule a match, you are supposed to use our Challenge System: Simply tick the challenge checkbox on the relavent match page and enter a challenge request in the comment field. This will then be emailed to the opposition leader.
  • If you suggest a matchdate on the matchpage, and your opponent does not respond, we will look at it, and most likely assign you the date you suggested, if it is within reason.

  • Command: !watch none - Explanation: Enter this to watch no divisions at all.
  • Command: !watch <divlist> - Explanation: watch a specified list of divisions – Example: !watch 1 2a 4 (watches division 1, 2a and all divs 4 (4a-4f))

IRC-Bot “ETF2L”: Request

  1. You need to be opped in the requested channel.
  2. Type /invite <botname> #channelname (<botname> can be ETF2L, ETF2L2 or ETF2L3. All bots are identical)
  3. The bot will join after an admin confirmed your request (requirement is a minimum of 5 people in your chan)
  4. If you want to have our bot removed again, please contact an admin in #etf2l
