ETF2L’s Future

Having been told by Valve that class and weapon restrictions will not be permitted in valve supported competitive TF2 we have decided that from Season 24 onwards the format will be changed to closely follow valve’s vision. This means that there will be no class limits or whitelists, we feel this is needed in order for both competitive TF2 and ETF2L to grow by working with valve we hope to be able to offer more in game items along with increased support from both valve and outside sponsors.
On a side note we are pleased to announce that at long last we are distributing the ingame medals for Season 20, Season 21 and Highlander Season 8. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd medals along with playoff and regular participation medals.

@san alex, the items are not added in-game yet but will be soon.
The medals said in this post have been in-game already, which is why they are the first ones to be distributed.

So me and probably all of the other members of my sons football team during s.21 have received the wrong medal.
At the end of the season, us and International Oral Sex and Psychology Help Center had the same ammount of points, however my sons football team won the 3-way tie by what I have been told was sheer luck.
Im assuming that you just went through and gave all of the top 8 teams in mid their respective medals, without noting that International Oral Sex did not play the playoffs, but the team below us did. I personally do not care that much about the medals, but i know some of my former teammates really do. (*cough* demos *cough* cabbage*)
I don’t know if you can even do anything about it, but I find it relatively amusing.

We are aware of the issue with open playoffs however we need exact numbers so if you believe to have received the wrong medal please contact us on the IRC.
@Wandum I did not receive a playoff medal for s21 which is correct since we didn’t play playoffs that season (I did get a participation medal though). I did however get a playoff medal correctly for s20. As far as im aware none of us on IOS incorrectly received a playoff medal for s21 so I don’t think that is the reason.
When can we expect S22/S9 medals, out of curiosity?
Dont expect them and we will surprise you.

Okay, competitive mode was created by players not by valve. And smoothly its became balanced… until now I guess. Maybe we remove class restriction in hl and will play with 9 scouts with critacolas? I don’t understand this move by ETF2L crew and if this was some kind of joke, well, this is a bad one.
