Summer Cup Galore Kicks Off: Experimental Ordnance 5 & 6

It might be summer already, but there are plenty of things going on! TF2 just went free-to-play, which means you can invite all your buddies from Counter-Strike and Call of Duty to the awesomeness of competitive TF2. Meanwhile, preparations for LANs like i43 and epic6 are in full progress and it’s still not too late to join in, just head over to the LAN forum quickly. The S9 finals and other great events will be coming up soon, but first we can announce the following:
Quick-Fix Experimental Ordnance Cups
The new Quick-Fix Medi Gun has caused quite some talk and discussion. Enough reason to settle things in some old-fashioned one-night cups. Next week, we will host not just one, but two cups for people to see what the Quick-Fix really is about. Next Monday the 27th, 20:00 CEST, Experimental Ordnance Cup #5 will be hosted with both teams being required to run the Quick-Fix. Three days later, on Thursday the 30th, 20:00 CEST, Experimental Ordnance Cup #6 will be hosted with all Medi Guns allowed to be used.
- Setup – Cups of 16, divided by skill levels
- Unlocks – EO#5: Quick-Fix use enforced, EO#6: Kritzkrieg + Quick-Fix + Equalizer limit 1
- Merc Rules – 2 mercs allowed by default.
- Bracket draw – EO#5: Monday 18:00 CET, EO#6: Thursday 18:00 CET in #etf2l
- Maps – EO#5: Badlands & Gullywash, EO#6: Badlands & Granary
- Sign-ups open – Now

Team avatars should be working again! If the avatar of your team did not update yet, try changing the Steam group of your team to a different one (and then back to the original later).
Rosters will be unlocked after the Season 9 final. The playoff match between uV gaming and Dstm that was created as one of the repercussions of Danny getting banned, will be played at a later time.
We have created a HUDs & Configs forum for everyone who likes to customise their game to perfection. Be sure to update which forums you wish to track on the “recent posts” page at your profile settings.

We cannot add Coco to our roster because of the lockdown. He will be counted as a merc when we use him for the cups, so what do we do if we need 2 mercs?

I don’t know if I’m being stupid or not, but if rosters are locked how are people joining teams?
Signed up for the first one, let’s see how this thing works in competitive.
Any plans on testing the other new unlocks? ( the solly’s whip and the srynge that makes you faster) and cp_granary_pro, that honeymustard made?
r7an, your team’s roster isn’t locked if they dropped out of or weren’t in season 9.

Can I ask, there is more than 16 teams joined waiting list, who is priority? better teams or who joined first?
kitas: they always try to fill 2 brackets worth of teams (16 in each) if possible a “high” and a “low” bracket.

I don’t really get why locking the rosters is necessary. Surely there are only about 6 teams that still need to play playoff matches so would it not be possible just to lock their rosters? =)
@oxy: I don’t think its as easy as picking which teams have their rosters locked in a nice friendly tick box, pretty sure it’d be harder to code a system that lets you choose certain teams to lock and certain teams not to lock etc. It’s pretty much just to make sure noone adds players from higher divs to their squads at the end of the season asfaik though.
Please remove Who Dares Wins team from EO#5: Quick Fix Cup.

When I click the link to sign up, it brings me to a wordpress login page. I even made a wordpress account to login, but I can’t figure out how to sign up. Maybe I’m just awful, can someone help out please? tyvm! :)
