They added the store, where you can buy the shit so Valve doesn’t lose money on the whole f2p thing.
It also makes people feel like they need the crap, because it’s ‘fancy’,’better’ and ‘new’.. Funny how that works

The ETF2L forums have become shit, but I do believe that happened before you left. Pennyfarming is the resident troll right now, so just ignore what he has to say.
MGE is bassically just a 1v1 mod. The idea is you join a server running it, and there’s a map with a dozen or so arenas that are parts of maps (badlands mid, badlands spire, granary last, granary mid, etc) and you just 1v1, 95% of the time as soldier. It’s got an ELO rating system and people care far too much about it.
Also others have said, weapons have become ridiculous so we just ban them all. Hats are a big deal now.
