Hi i need some help, whats the diffenrence between cpi and dpi? And are 400 dpi the same as 400 cpi? i know cpi means characters per inch and dpi dots per inch, thx for help

It actually stands for “counts per inch”. CPI == DPI in this context; it’s used by some because “dots per inch” is seen as incorrect terminology due to it being a phrase from the printing industry that doesn’t really make sense when talking about pointing devices.

It bascily is a diffrent name :)
