Right before the final stages of the Insomnia i69 Open BYOC Playoffs kick off on the 3rd day there will be an ETF2L Awards Show. Since we did not have any for Season 41, we are going to present winners for the Season 41 together with Season 42. This show will be a bit different than the others in the past, because for the first time in the history it is going to be in person, from Insomnia i69 directly from Essentials.TF Studio!

So who was the best? It has been long waited but it is time for the best players of each country to group up together and prove that their country is the best!

The Cup will feature a Group Stage and a single-elimination Tournament, and will take place throughout September and October. Each country will be represented by one team consisting out of players of the same nationality, led by a Captain chosen through the applications process. For the playoffs we will try out a schedule over a single weekend in order to not let the playoffs go on for too long, if you intend to signup with your country please be aware of this.

Schedule

• Captains Applications: 24th August – 8th September
• Announce Captains & Groups: 9th September
• Group Stage Round 1: 10th September – 17th September
• Group Stage Round 2: 18th September – 24th September
• Group Stage Round 3: 25th September –  1st October
• Tiebreakers: 1st October – 6th October
• Playoffs: 7th – 9th October

IMPORTANT! We do encourage teams to make use of their roster of up to 13 players. Mercs will not be allowed! (Although we may be more lenient regarding the verification time.)

Welcome everyone! We hope you enjoyed the Season 42 playoffs, regardless if you were participating or watching others fight for the best placements in the season.

For those of you who won their division – congratulations! Thanks to those who played in the season and maybe even the playoffs, and we hope to see you back for season 43!

But before we move on to the next season we need to figure out who were the best players on their respective role for this one. This time luckily we are not that late after the season, and in order to make up for not having published the Season 41 Award Poll results yet, we will be presenting the results, both for Season 41 and 42 in person, live from Insomnia i69 in Birmingham this weekend on twitch.tv/essentialstf!
