The ETF2L 6v6 Preseason 25 Cup

>>>> Sign up for the 6v6 Preseason 25 Cup here! <<<<

Signups are open until Monday 29th August 20:00 CEST! Eligible to participate is any 6v6 or Fun team that has 6 players on the roster at the end of Signups.

The cup will run on one day in a group stage format

Tuesday, August 30th.

We will create groups of 4 teams, so you’ll be able to prepare screenshots for Season 25, as well as having fun games. Make sure you select the division you’re most likely going to apply for in Season 25 or you think your mix team is capable of handling.

Teams will be seeded first come first serve. Signing up late just before the deadline will not guarantee your team a seed if there aren’t 3 other teams to create a bracket.

Rules/Whitelist

The 6v6 Season 24 rules apply in this cup with the exception of the merc rule and weapon pickup rules. We are allowing one default merc per match. Please only present players as default mercs, that meet the experience requirements to prevent time consuming discussions (for clarification see point 1.4 of the HL Season 10 rules). All weapon pickups, including mediguns, are now permitted.

NOTE: Abuse of picking up weapons from ground with a pickup spam bind will result in punishments such as default losses if done during any of the games.

The whitelist that is going to be used is this one (This is a test-whitelist that is not necessarily going to be the exact same for Season 25).
You can also execute the whitelist by typing “rcon tftrue_whitelist_id 6249” if you have TFTRUE installed.

In short, the following weapons have been added to the whitelist of Season 24:

+ Brass Beast
+ Pomson 6000

… and fixed taunts accordingly to be up to date with the newest set of items.

Prizes

Every 1st team will receive a pixel trophy on their team page and the rights to brag about their achievements.

In any case, there is going to be a newspost before the cup starts. Make sure to check etf2l.org before you play your first round match for all the updates!!

We opened a forumtopic for this cup, feel free to provide us with feedback!

Quarter Finals: Nations Cup #6 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Denmark vs France

Date August 16, 2016

6HsNTAP

It’s Quarter Final time, the business end of the competition and for both Denmark Denmark and France France, both will be harbouring title ambitions but only one will reach the last 4 and play England. Join Spain CeeJaey, England Jon and Danish substitute turned caster, Denmark Beater are here on the mics to bring home a keenly contest matchup live on BlackOut TV tonight at 21:15 CEST.

Denmark Denmark last made it to the Semi-Finals in 2012 and lost out to England England, and most of their squad that day feature tonight, looking to relinquish the painful memory of 4 years ago. France France meanwhile are the holders, but feature a completely new team to the one that won the gold in 2014.

The history in TF2 for these two nations is great, but how have they compared so far this tournament? Strangely the best way might be to measure their performances against Iceland Iceland – France France‘s only map loss this tournament was a 4-2 loss to Iceland Iceland in the groups, where they needed to win a close tiebreaker to determine their first seed. Denmark Denmark meanwhile strolled the group stages, winning every map 5-0 and overpowered Iceland Iceland in the last 16, taking two maps 4-1 and 2-0 to set up this meeting.

Ultimately it is sure to be a closely contested game, based on performances against other opponents Denmark Denmark might have a slight edge but it’s so close it doesn’t matter for the game itself.
