Welcome everyone to the conclusion of the 24th season of ETF2L Highlander. As there are still matches to be played for Division 2 and Prem tomorrow their respective playoffs will be added later tomorrow.

We hope you enjoyed the matches, and for the teams that made it through, congratulations.

All tiers will have playoffs, all playoff matches will be using the Map Elimination system. Note that all dates are estimates and teams are able to negotiate other days by scheduling with their opponents.

If you find yourself on the list of these teams expect an admin to add you and request your availability, if there is no information or insufficient information given we will have to decide your match dates for you. Keep in mind that we will try and accommodate both teams, but the match date may still vary from your provided days, if for example none of the days match with your opponent, but your opponent offered more days than you did. Deadlines listed for the matches are flexible and may be changed in certain situations if admins are contacted about allowing extensions on these.

Schedule

For Division 2, Mid, Low and Open tiers, the schedule for the playoff matches will be the following.

• Quarter final matches will be played from 20th – 24th June.
• Semi Finals will be played from 25th – 30th June.
• Grand Finals will be played from 1st – 4th July.

For Premiership and Division 1 we are going with single elimination bubble bracket, the schedule for the playoff matches will be the following.

• Semi Finals will be played from 20th – 26th June.
• Grand Finals will be played from 27th– 4th July.

While we are running behind provisional schedule and 6v6 Season 38 isn’t officially wrapped up yet we will be lifting the roster lock so that teams can add their players and start applying for the upcoming season.

• Signups: June 12th – June 30th, 18:00 CET (Premiership signups will close early, on June 26th at 21:00 CET)
• Publishing of Provisional Divisions: June 30th
• Publishing of Final Divisions: July 3rd
• Premiership Qualifiers: June 27th – July 4th
• Main Season:July 4th – August 20th (Roster Lock will be active starting from August 15th, 00:00 CEST)
• Playoffs:August 22nd – September 5th

EssentialsTF are gearing up with the next instalment of DreamHack TF2 Community Clash EU. This time around they are featuring a $2400 prize pool main tournament and introducing a Newcomer tournament with a $90 prize pool. Both tournaments will take place over two weekends, beginning on June 12th and 13th with the Swiss Group Stage and continuing on June 19th and 20th with the playoffs stage culminating with the grand finals. Any team may sign up to the Main Tournament while the Newcomer tournament has limitations on league division experience and official match count. There are about 5 days left to sign up to both tournaments. Signups end on June 11th at 1am CEST.

After 3 delirious weeks of nations coming together and fighting to scary close results teams have made their way out of the group stages in to the Round of 16.

With France and Netherlands each winning a map when they met resulting in a tied score for the highest seed in group C, alongside Portugal drawing with Sweden when they met in group E, these countries still have to play a tiebreaker to figure out their final position in their respective groups and go through to the next round if a tiebreaker game has not been played already.

Tiebreakers will be played as a Best of 3 in the upcoming week and the Round of 16 will start on June 13th, or earlier even if these matches get played sooner!

Following the playoffs during the Round of 16, teams will be paired against teams in their nearby group for the quarter finals as shown in the bracket below.
