Highlander Open #2

The highlander Open #2 came to an end a couple of weeks ago and we hope that you all had a great time and that we will keep on seeing your faces around in the community. But lets get over to the winners!

Season 25 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Provisional Tiers

184 teams managed to successfully sign up for Season 25. Those teams can be found in the following Provisional Tiers. In case you do not find your team in this list, you were likely removed because you had between 1 and 5 players, in this case you have to gather 6 players in your roster and sign up for Season 25 again or you changed your name during signup process, just check for an old team name. We will try and get as many teams into the season as possible before week 1 starts. This is also a reminder that we will leave the signups open during week 1 for late signups.

Provisional Tiers

These Provisional Tiers are very close to being the final tiers for Season 25. We will only consider making changes to your team’s placement if you can provide striking arguments with supporting screenshots.

If you have not done so already also submit your Preferred days and times for your week 1 fixtures. Teams will be paired on Saturday 23:59, so make sure to do it before.

To submit your availability go to Dashboard > My Teams > Edit Availability. Please also note to submit the time frame in a 24h format, otherwise it will not work (e.g. 20:00 instead of 08:00 p.m.).

When?

The event starts this Friday the 16th of September at 18 CEST and will run for 3 days over on twitch.com/tipofthehats. You can find a schedule, guest appearances and more over on their site tipofthehats.org. So get your favorite snack and drink ready for an awesome weekend filled with Team Fortress 2 while kicking cancer’s ass in the meantime. If you can’t contain your excitement you can check previous years events over on their Youtube channel.

Note* If you want to calculate over the schedule to CEST then you have to add 7 hours. So 3 PM turns into 10 PM.

What is Tip of the Hats?

Tip of the Hats is a charity event hosted and supported by members of the Team Fortress 2 community. Since 2013, it has raised over $320,000 for Children’s Oncology Services, Inc., which offers camps and other educational and excursion programs throughout the year that allow children with cancer to just be kids. With your help, COSI can offer attendance to kids at little to no cost to their families.

Season 25 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Preseason Premier Division Playoffs

For Season 25 we received a total of 10 signups for the Premier Division. Out of those 10 teams Se7en, LEGO and top5rocket will have a guaranteed spot. From the remaining 7 teams we removed one as it was a team of High Tier experienced players who did not provide any additional information or screenshots (except for one team, nobody did) but in addition to that they have not played any pcws so far, at least from what we could see. That leaves 5 spots in the Premier Division and 6 teams, namely:

• ComedyShortsGaming

Due to the exceptional amount of open spots in prem and the given time frame, we decided a different approach this time. The schedule and format looks as follows:

Monday, September 12th, 21:15 CEST

Match 1:  Unexpected vs  Animate

Match 2:  ComedyShortsGaming vs  Danger Dogs

The winners of match 1 and 2 will advance into the Premier Division.

Tuesday, September 13th, 21:15 CEST

Match 3: Animate vs  3/6

Match 4: Danger Dogs vs  Stevie Wonder's Aim School

The winners of match 3 and 4 will advance into the Premier Division.

Wednesday, September 14th, 21:15 CEST

Match 5: Animate vs Stevie Wonder's Aim School

The winner of match 5 will advance into the Premier Division, while the loser will have to play in the High Tier.

Season 25 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Signups are still open!

Just as a reminder. The signups for all teams wanting to sign up for the High, Mid and Open Tier are still open. They will remain open until September 15th, 21:00 CEST. Signing up after September 15th may result in your team missing the first week of the season.

Time has gone by fast at DeutschLAN 2016 so far. The teams are ready, the servers are ready, only question is: Are you ready?

Friday (Day 1) casts:

The stream will be going live at 20:00 cest over at BlackoutTV!
The opening match of this year’s DeuschLAN will be between maLANhoeloe and Iro and 8. Depending on how fast games are progressing, we will either tune in to the round 1 match Team Nein! vs. Here for the Beer of group B or bring you the round 2 match between LANpander and  maLANhoeloe. Definetly on the menu will be an all German battle between  Team Nein! and  LOL Germans as the last game of the evening.
Leading you through this evening of LAN-action will be jakeowaty. Brace yourselves for a heartwarming “Yaaaaaooooooooo” as  eXtine is joining him on the microphone for our round 1 matche(s).

Saturday’s games start at 11:00 cest

No time for lazy gamers on saturday! DeutschLAN resumes just before noon, delivering you quality entertainment during your brunch.
LAN favourites and two times defending ETF2L champions Strong Opinions will be challenged by Iro and 8, brought to you by the deadly duo Maxi and Hildreth. Other possible matchups to be casted are

Fair Enough | duscheLAN vs. Doctors Of Mediocrity,
Strong Opinions vs.  maLANhoeloe and
Fair Enough | duscheLAN vs. LOL Germans.

After a lunch break the last round of the group stages will start at 15:00 cest with the clash of  Strong Opinions and LANpander with   eXtine and atwas in the casting booth.

At 18:00 cest BlackoutTV goes live again with one of the two semifinal matches before we wrap up the long TF2 saturday with our bronze match at 21:00.

Throughout the event “saviour of lifes” Jon and “Kappa Ambassador” Arjax are going to lead the production and cameras.
