Announcing Season 18 powered by Tt eSports
For most teams Season 17 powered by Tt eSports is over, and they can look towards preparations for the next season. For the top2 teams there is still the final to play, however there won’t be much time for the winners to brag – here comes Season 18 powered by Tt eSports!
Due to the longer seasons, the signups are opening slightly earlier than usual. So we are giving you the schedule for Season 18 extra early so you can all get prepared properly!
Signups: April 20 – May 1
Publishing of Provisional Divisions: May 2
Publishing of Final Divisions: May 3
Schedule Week: May 1 – May 10
Main Season: May 11 – June 28
Catch-up Week: June 29 – July 5
Playoffs: July 6 – July 26
Please note that Playoff dates are subject to change due to tiebreakers and other unforeseen circumstances.
With 2 weeks until signups open we are confident everyone has enough time to prepare their team, or find a team to play with! Rosters will be unlocked after the Grand Final on Thursday 10th April. Other details about the season will be coming over the next couple of weeks!
Banner Contest
For the upcoming Season 18 powered by Tt eSports we have decided to have a banner contest. This not only means that your artwork will be featured on our hub page as well as every newspost related to Season 18. The winner will also receive a Tt Cronos Gaming Headset generously provided by Tt eSports by Thermaltake!
Here is what you have to do:
- Create a banner with the dimensions 590×295
- Include our and our sponsor’s logos which can be found here
- Send your creation to [email protected] and put “[ETF2L] S18 banner contest” as subject
- Send it to the above mentioned email until Saturday, April 12th 23:59.
Following that we will have a community vote to decide the top5. From these top5 we will pick one banner which will then be the official Season 18 powered by Tt eSports banner.

Postpone it please, a lot of people will be unable to play due to the exams (including me)
I agree with this, hosting Season 18 in May is a silly thing to do. Everybody including myself, will be taking exams. The teams that would like to play in S18 may not be able to for this reason. So if we could postpone until June, all the exams will b over by then (hopefully), I think everybody that is going to play in ETF2L would be a lot happier.

A lot of people have exams in June / July as well, pretty much every country has slightly different schedules or systems. So I dont think it’s as easy as simply postponing it.
Also last years’ season was also May 5 – June 22 and pretty much no one complained

The final week of playoffs will clash with 6v6 Nations Cup
At least that’s a provisional schedule, we’ll probably review it again.
Please move this, nobody really gives a shit about Nations Cup that much, if you have the season so close you will greatly lower the quality of new teams forming. You will be forcing teams to quickly merge and prem will be shit again.

It’s hard really, cos as a league we want to fit in so many things – 3 season of 6v6, 2 seasons of HL, Nations Cup but people have different schedules and priorities. You delay it a week, it makes little difference to most people, you need to delay it a month to really make a difference but if you delay it a month, we can’t have Nations Cup…
I guess you got to look at the schedule and decide if you can play, gaming is only a hobby remember.
It’s less about clashes with Nations Cups, and more about pushing it through summer too much, we don’t want another AFS.

Guys it´s not the studying, it´s the overall stress from exams and after taking exams whole day and studying in between you are tired as hell

Just remove the extra 6v6 season. Two 6v6 and two HL seasons should be enough.
It’s just plain retarded to have each season clash with previous and next season; 4 weeks of overlapping. I doubt anyone wants that.
