December Global Whitelist Changes

Date December 26, 2017

The Jungle Inferno update was introduced mid-season, and some provisional measures were taken by the admin team. This included bans for both the new weapons (Dragon’s Fury, Gas Passer, Thermal Thruster, Hot Hand, Second Banana) as well as the majority of the changed weapons (Panic Attack, Pretty Boy’s Pocket Pistol, Mantreads, Beggar’s Bazooka, Backburner).

These changes meant the previous whitelist was modified in favour of an updated whitelist. Since this was only a short-term adjustment which be improved upon, let us look at the changes needed for the next iteration of the Global Whitelist. With some downtime during the holidays we’ll be approaching the whitelist slightly differently; due to there being limited playtest data available for the new and changed weapons since the update.

The following weapons will be unbanned in a provisional whitelist for a short amount of time, after which we will make a decision on the temporarily allowed weapons. The final decision will be made in early January.

  • The Gas Passer
  • B.A.S.E Jumper
  • Bonk! Atomic Punch
  • Sandman

We ask you to try out these weapons and provide feedback here so we can make the best decision!

Highlander Season 14 Week 5: Feila eSports finanzieren durch DROPS vs inVision

Date December 17, 2017

Tonight, Poland Feila eSports slim shady edition square off against Poland inVision in the last week of the group stages on the payload classic, pl_badwater. Both teams have had a pretty impressive season considering their experience. UnitedKingdom Hutchy’s long standing Highlander team currently holds third place, giving them a good shot at reaching their first premiership playoff spot, while Poland inVision holds fifth, a decent placement for their debut season in prem.

There is so much to gain for both of these teams. Any outcome except a full 6-0 loss for Poland Feila eSports slim shady edition will guarantee them playoffs, and a straight roll will give them a chance of taking second place in the group stages, depending on the outcome of Luxembourg Super Dickmann's KANNONEN!‘s game vs Sweden Lucrosa (tonight at 21:00 CET). Meanwhile, Poland inVision will be focused on achieving either a 6-0 victory or a golden cap win to potentially push them ahead of Sweden Lucrosa, ensuring their position in prem next season. Poland inVision have also undergone a minor roster change. Romania Demos will be taking the main role of demoman, replacing former demo Norway Yxxo. Could this swap make or break Poland inVision’s road out of relegation? On the other side, arguably one of Poland Feila eSports slim shady edition’s biggest strengths, England cloudy, will not be playing this all important match, perhaps giving rising legend UnitedKingdom morale an opportunity for sniper domination.

Catch the action live on KritzKast at 21:00 CET, with England chando and UnitedKingdom GrumpyKoi in the casting booth and niceAsh on production.

Highlander Season 14 Week 4: Super Dickmann’s KANNONEN! vs. Tourettes Frenchclub

Date December 7, 2017

Tonight, two former premiership champions will throw down to assert their dominance. Luxembourg Super Dickmann's KANNONEN! will take on European Tourettes Chessclub on cp_process and koth_coalplant!

Tourettes Chessclub, despite an impressive history in the Highlander scene have struggled this season, only landing a Golden Cap Loss against the prem fresh meat Sweden Lucrosa in their first week. With ongoing roster changes and the group stages already beginning to draw to an end, the Chessclub are in desperate need of some better luck to avoid the dreaded relegation spot. American additions such as UnitedStates Kresnik and UnitedStates Nursey have certainly assisted in the team’s development, and having a strong set of sixes players (namely France Olgha, France Raf, Italy ixy) will surely help on Process. But without having had a consistent roster throughout the season, things are starting to look grey for the former Highlander titans.

On the other hand, Luxembourg Super Dickmann's KANNONEN!, previously the best Highlander team in the current European Highlander scene, have gotten off to a decent start, only losing points to their long standing rival Strong Opinions. However, after a very close match against Poland inVision on possibly their best map [Steel], Chessclub may be able to take the edge if they have practiced enough. SDCK will surely be eager to secure another 6-0, securing them in a firm second place when the season draws to the playoff stages.

Tune in to KritzKast at 21:15 CET to see the action unfold live with Spain CeeJaey and England chando in the casting booth, and Netherlands Wiethoofd behind the scenes.

Because of the Heals for Reals event this Saturday and Sunday we won’t be able to cover the Poland Feila eSports slim shady edition vs. European Strong Opinions fixture live, we will however provide a full weekend of quality charity fundraising entertainment for you on the KritzKast channel!
