As we are reaching closer to the closure of Season 32, we are proud to announce a sneak peek of what’s there to possibly come in Season 33! This cup will focus around testing potential maps for the upcoming season.

Group Stage:

Each tier is divided into round robin groups of four teams meaning there could be multiple groups for each tier, teams that sign up sooner will be prioritized in getting a spot in the cup, so do not wait until the last minute to sign up!

• Signups close: May 15th at 21:00 CEST
• Group stage round 1: May 16th 19:00 CEST – cp_kalinka_rc5
• Group stage round 2: May 16th 20:00 CEST – cp_metalworks
• Group stage round 3: May 16th 21:00 CEST – cp_mist_rc1d

If the score on any of these maps is tied after the timelimit has been reached, a decider round (golden cap) will have to be played. Instead of using timelimit 0 for this cup, the golden cap will be played with winlimit 1 and timelimit 15, if neither team wins a round in this time then the team that holds the middle point captured wins the golden cap.

Knockout Stage:

For this stage we aim to have 8 teams in each knockout bracket, if your skill tier in the cup has only 2 groups, all teams will proceed to the knockout stage by default. If your skill tier in the cup has 4 groups, top 2 teams from each skill group will proceed to the knockout stage.

• Quarter Finals: May 19th 19:00 CEST – BO1, Both teams ban 1 map, remaining map will be played
• Semi-Finals: May 19th 20:00 CEST – BO1, Both teams ban 1 map, remaining map will be played
• Grand Finals: May 19th 21:00 CEST – BO3, Both teams pick which map they want to play first/second, remaining map will be the decider map

Welcome everyone to the playoffs for the Fresh Meat Challenge #2.

We hope you enjoyed the matches, and for the teams that made it through, congratulations.

The top 9 teams of the North, East and South groups will be joined by the top 5 of the West group to form a 32 team single elimination bracket, all games will be played as a best-of-three. The maps will be decided using the Map Elimination system, for the playoffs all teams are equally seeded. Since the cup only has five maps one less ban phase will have to be conducted. You can conduct the pick/ban process via messages with the enemy leader or via match comments. You have to schedule your games with your opponent directly, you can propose a date and time on this page. An admin will only set a default date if no agreement can be reached. All other rules still apply as per usual. If u are an American team scheduled to play against a European team keep in mind that you can not enforce the European team to play on an American server.

Welcome everyone to the conclusion of the 18th season of ETF2L Highlander for Open, Mid, Division 2, Division 1 and Premiership.

We hope you enjoyed the matches, and for the teams that made it through, congratulations.

All tiers will have playoffs, all playoff matches will be using the Map Elimination system. Note that all dates are estimates and teams are able to negotiate other days by scheduling with their opponents.

If you find yourself on the list of these teams expect an admin to add you and request your availability, if there is no information or insufficient information given we will have to decide your match dates for you. Keep in mind that we will try and accommodate both teams, but the match date may still vary from your provided days, if for example none of the days match with your opponent, but your opponent offered more days than you did. Deadlines listed for the matches are flexible and may be changed in certain situations if admins are contacted about allowing extensions on these.

Schedule

For Division 2, Mid and Open tiers, the schedule for the playoff matches will be the following.

• Quarter final matches will be played from 21st – 27th April.
• Semi Finals will be played from 28th April – 4th May.
• Grand Finals will be played from 5th – 12th May.

For Premiership and Division 1 we are going with single elimination bubble bracket, the schedule for the playoff matches will be the following.

• The Semi Final results must be submitted by 1st of May and the Grand Finals must be played by 12th of May. If you need to play outside of these dates contact an admin.

Fresh Meat Challenge Frag Movie Contest

As mentioned with the initial announcement there is a Frag Movie contest paired with the tournament. The frag movie contest winner shall be decided by a public vote at the end of the tournament. The winner will be awarded 15 keys. 

If you as a participating Fresh Meat player have a nice clip from a scrim or official with your team feel free to post it in the democall thread.

Each movie must contain the following:

• Must have the ETF2L Introduction (Download Link).
• Must be submitted in the official forum thread by the 10th of June.
