Highlander Nations Cup #6: Wrap-up, Staff Changes

The sixth ETF2L Nations Cup has come to an end. 24 teams in total signed up for this event.

 Russia Russia, Germany Germany, Finland Finland, France France and England England managed to reach the playoffs. However for the first time in history the back to back champions Sweden Sweden failed to sign-up to join the battle whilst the two times champions UnitedStates United States of America did not manage to get out of the group stage dropping points to Poland Poland and losing to Lithuania Lithuania. And now after weeks and weeks of exciting games, multiple plot twists and nerve-wracking cliff hangers followed by an extremely closely fought Grand Final we have our winner.

Poland Poland emerged victorious over Russia Russia.

Congratulations to Poland for winning the Nations Cup for the first time and entering the inner circle of winning nations!

Staff changes

We have to sadly announce that our friends England kindred and England proky are resigning respectively from their duties as AC Admin and League Admin of ETF2L. Thank you both for your help and good luck for your future endeavors! As staff members are leaving, we find ourselves saying welcome back and good luck to Poland thaZu in the AC Staff.

Season 33: Playoffs & Tiebreaker Scores

Welcome everyone to the conclusion of the 33rd season of ETF2L 6v6 for Open, Low, Mid, Division 2, Division 1 and Premiership.

We hope you enjoyed the matches, and for the teams that made it through, congratulations.

All tiers will have playoffs, all playoff matches will be using the Map Elimination system. Due to the map pool now containing 9 maps each team will get to ban an additional map at the start of the map elimination process. This will additionally clarified on the matchpage. Note that all dates are estimates and teams are able to negotiate other days by scheduling with their opponents.

Highlander Season 19 Premiership Qualifiers

The Highlander Season 19 Premiership Qualifiers are hereby announced.  Jamaica Weed Cake Sellers and Poland inVision will keep their Premiership spot based on last seasons performance. Based on the applications received and past results we have decided that Italy BANK HEI$T, Luxembourg Super Dickmann's KANNONEN! and Sweden Lucrosa will receive an automatic spot. Highlander Nations Cup #6 Grand Final: Poland vs. Russia

It is time!

32 Days after the first game of the 6th Highlander Nations Cup, we’re on the horizon of the final and facing the prospect of crowning a brand new champion. We’ve seen it all – reverse sweeps, parachute bombs, trickstabs & a multitude of shock results.

The first team to ever win two Nations Cups;  Sweden Sweden? Not even participating. The defending champions UnitedStates United States of America? Didn’t make it out of the groups. Top seeded sides England England, Denmark Denmark & France France? Couldn’t even win a map in the playoffs. This has been one of the most chaotic, surprising and down-right exciting Nations Cups in memory, and tonight we have two countries battling for the honor of winning the title for the first time in their history.
