For no reason other than my sheer annoyance when using a Mac occasionally, I wrote a small program for Mac users to get rid of mouse acceleration.
Installation:
* Download the executable for your architecture, or compile your own
* Set executable permissions on the file (chmod a+x mac-cel
)
* Open “System Preferences”
* Open “Users & Groups”
* Click on your own username
* Add the executable to “Login Items”
* Restart your Mac
Repository: https://github.com/cdown/mac-cel
Download:

https://github.com/downloads/cdown/mac-cel/mac-cel_64-1.0 (64-bit)
Thanks a lot to Arie for helping me out with crazy OSX stuff since I have no Mac with me at the moment (which I’m not complaining about :D).
I can follow the .c one now! My gf has a crap mac which can’t run games otherwise i’d be all over this, cheers.
Thanks man, gonna download it right away. Btw, any idea if there is a good fps config for osx?
Edit: Sure hope I’ve got x64 on my macbook, else I might’ve fucked somethin up
Edit2: It seems I don’t have the permission to open this file, I dno how to get the permission.

….what?
In your terminal, cd to wherever the executable is, and then execute chmod a+x mac-cel
(or mac-cel_64 for 64-bit version)

Did it say anything when you ran it?

Uhm, a lil’ window popped up and said some random info and then Process Completed.
Edit: Don’t worry, it’s most likely something I did wrong.

Yeah, run it from the terminal and tell me what appears. I tested it on 10.4 and Arie tested it on 10.7, I guess it’s possible I need to fix some stuff on other versions.

Okey… so I do that whole process again or what?
Just add me on steam and lets talk there, the whole posting thing is really annoying.
