“…and this is why i play as “The Scout” in #TF2!”
Go to Thailand ziggy, I hear they have a lot of experience with these matters ;).
Koeitje speaking too much sense.
Also, still don’t see the point in getting an expensive keyboard unless it’s mechanical. If I don’t get the G80-3000 I’ll probably just get something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cherry-G83-6105LPQGB-2-Standard-Keyboard-Black/dp/B0011B9DX2 for £15.
Also, the blacks require even more force than normal mechanical keyboards which require more than standard membrane ones already right? Blues and browns are the most popular too I believe.
And others who’ve had both the 3g and the 3.5g say the 3g sensor is much better.
Btw just a suggestion: Maybe you could add like links to every equipment also?

Hopefully someone has the brown keys at i43, i am tempted to buy one of these: http://etf2l.org/forum/off-topic/topic-17598/?recent=319132
Reds are lighter than black iirc. More like brown/blue but without tactile feedback iirc.

I don’t think those cherries do nkro, you’d better check the geekhack wiki on that. Also those cherry keyboards are fairly light and not as well built as other mechanicals. If you dont go mechanical, don’t get the cheapest keyboard you can find though. Get something that has decent kro @ gaming keys.

I’ve had both and the only difference to me is the cable. Considering you can’t really buy the 3g, i can only recommend the 3.5g :)
They’re PS/2 keyboards so they have unlimited rollover?
And if you can’t get a IBM Model M and not able to put up the money for some like a Filco Majestouch, the G80-3000 seems decent enough for being only £60.

ps/2 != nkro
But don’t PS/2 keyboards all have NKRO (assuming you’re using the PS/2 connection)?
‘Full NKRO
Not all keyboards support NKRO. Firstly, the hardware must be capable of reading any number of keys without blocking or ghosting. Generally this means having a diode for each switch, or using capacitive (e.g. Topre) or resistive (e.g. Microsoft Sidewinder X4) technology. Secondly, the firmware must not impose any arbitrary limitations (most don’t). And finally the connection to the computer must support NKRO. See the Nkey Keyboard Listing Wiki for details of which keyboards support NKRO.
A PS/2 connection is NKRO capable.’
Also NKRO isn’t as important as ghosting right? I mean, not like you’re goign to be needing to press 7 keys down at once.

i tested to do it with a very old shit logitech keyboard.
i can press zqsd AND tab AND shift in the same time
6keys registered while it doesnt have nkro or optimized matrix.
same thing on my lycosa.
i think that Kro> 3 is useless
A decent sound card + mainstream headset is much better than an onboard sound + good headset, onboard just doesnt cut in.
I really like your headset choice though, the Sennheisers are great but not a good price/value, unfortunately the best value you can get is with headphones and not headsets + external mic.
anyone recommend me a good wrist rest for 6Gv2? One that preferably doesnt wear out too soon
