Nice1 mate. Getting a monitor and mouse from there already ^^
What kind of idiot recommends razer keyboards? Oh wait, you do :D. Throw in the zowie celeritas instead (cherry browns <3 <3 <3)
Where is the Xai?
Qck? Really?
Where's the DT770, HD25, K240?

What’s wrong with the Samsung Syncmaster 2233RZ?
And what about the Steelseries Xai and 9HD?
And why recommend the 7g and call it expensive instead of the 6gv2? http://steelseries.com/products/keyboards/steelseries-6gv2 (not that it isn’t also expensive)
There is also the razer blackwidow mechanical (not ultimate) which is even cheaper (heard a lot of good things about it but apparantly the coating rubs off eventually).
The Cherry G80-3000 is cheapest at £60 and is apparantly quite good and popular according to geekhack (and it’s a cherry which are just as prestigious as filco keyboards).
And while you mentioned it, the mx518 is still a good mouse to use despite the prediction? And the IE 3.0 which is apparantly similar to the deathadder and waaaaaaay cheaper?
And as covered on vanilla already, getting a pair of good headphones with a mic provides more quality and more money’s worth (and cheaper overall) so it might be good to mention that too. Plantronics Gamecom 367 is a really cheap (£18 on amazon) and really nice headset too (as far as headsets go and for the money imo).

xai simple, lanable. job done
filco keyboard over the steelseries any day. Use common sense buy a keyboard from a company who has been doing it for a while :D also i have heard a lot of bad reviews of the steelseries keyboards around. quite a few having very loose fitting keys that can pop off their switch.
Not quite feeling the amount of razer gear you are recommending. never had a good experience with their products. generally they feel very plasticy and feeble imo.
Also maybe worth mentioning the super pads ie boogiebug and the corepad xxxl. great for home use and lan gives you a nice playing surface for both hands on those old decrepit lan tables! I still use a mousepad on top of it sometimes, but I really liked having a similar feel at lan as I did at home. maybe not for everyone though :D

– my razer arctosa is great for laptop style keys, want to recommend better?
Throw in the zowie celeritas instead (cherry browns <3 <3 <3)
– I can’t comment on the zowie celeritas as i’ve never used it.
Where is the Xai?
– xai has too many flaws to mention (hardware level acceleration, dust + sensor + spazm to name 2); it does atleast move your cursor accross the screen.
Qck? Really?
– what’s wrong with it, it’s proven :)
Where's the DT770, HD25, K240?
– i like my sennheisers :(

What’s wrong with the Samsung Syncmaster 2233RZ?
– it’s not as good as the viewsonic, i recommended 1x 1680×1050 and 1x 1920×1080.
And what about the Steelseries Xai and 9HD?
– see above post

– i like the wrist rest, but i guess – the 6g v2 + a padded rest could be better.
There is also the razer blackwidow mechanical (not ultimate) which is even cheaper (heard a lot of good things about it but apparantly the coating rubs off eventually).
– keys are too soft and bouncey for my liking

– too much hassle at lan

– fair point, prefer 1 cable though and the pc360/350 are the only gaming headsets i’d ever recommend (albeit expensive).

I’ve had no problem with it… Great sensor, responsive, nice shape and feel, side buttons and scroll have a good feel to them and work fine, works like a mouse should and lets you easily change the cpi and polling rate…

Cherry browns are lighter to press than laptop style keys….
The zowie keyboard is better than the ss for gaming. Browns are much nicer. (edit: I see you don’t like blues, doubt you will like browns then :D)
HD25 = sennheiser ;).
Qck blows, also causes vertical jitter on 3.5g sensors. Problems you had with the xai are probably due to you having a filthy room with a lot of dust + using qck. But then again, maybe the xai is the reason for Tt’s losing streak?!?! Even though Joey calls it the best mouse he ever used? And we all know Arx can’t hit shit with the xai. Also, I never hit malfunction speed with the Xai, but I do with recent (3g+)Razer mice (end up looking at the sky/ground, and I’m not the only one).

– it’s not about what’s “lighter to press” for me :)

– even if we remove the dust part where i quad rocket the floor against finland in the asus nations cup, it still has hardware level acceleration. I prefer to have my mice with no acceleration, and add the desired amount of acceleration when i get into game myself. If the mouse works for you that’s cool, but it’s not a mouse for me.

– I havn’t had that problem with either the 1800 or 3500 deathadder at 20cm/360. Sounds like a shitty problem to have had though! :)

Pretty sure it did on mine though (ill see if I can find the pic). So maybe they updated one of them ;). Point still stands.
The abyssus I’m 100% sure has the jitter problem.
The nice thing about browns/blues is that you can feel the key regged.

What does that link show exactly?
That it doesn’t jitter. You still look at the sky though if you like to do real quick rj flicks at 30cm/360.

Hopefully someone has the brown keys at i43, i am tempted to buy one of these: http://etf2l.org/forum/off-topic/topic-17598/?recent=319132
