You are acting like close minded CS kids talking about TF2. Maybe the game will be a fail, but first play and then shoot shit over it if you don’t like it.
I’m not shitting on the game. If it turns out to be amazing, brilliant. What I see though, is that there has been no significant amount of PC gameplay footage released, and there has been no official reviews of the game released.
I’m just trying to bring some healthy skepticism because I’m fucking fed up of “tf2 is dead, long live brink”.
im with skyride.
1#dont believe the hype

on the smart thing:
“With SMART, players can simply focus on going where they need to go and leave the complex stuff to SMART. That said, for players who want to master that complex stuff as well, it’s worth noting that SMART is entirely optional, and anything you can do with it can also be done with well-timed presses of Jump, Crouch, and Sprint. And if you decide to do these things manually, if your timing is good, you’ll actually find yourself moving through the environment even more efficiently[/b].”

so they have removed skill, to make it more skilful? i always like learning the movement of a new game. :(

Why would you do it manually if SMART is there though. Just seems pointless. Unless ofcourse you turn SMART off for competitive or whatever.
bah no hp packs, no rj’s, aim plays too big role and etc.

What makes me the most skeptical is the fact that in the future, there’s no women, and everybody has really long faces :(

Because manually you’re doing it faster and you have more control.

Fair enough.
Gonna give it a try, no idea whether to go massive grenade launcher wielding monster or light bouncy gollum with rifle.
Doesn’t really look that exciting from what I’ve seen so far. But I’m getting a free copy, so not complaining :)
I just get the feeling it’s going to be bad, looks real clunky, console ported from the video that’s been shown so far, and brown. Oh and the gametypes just seem… odd (have we even had confirmation of some kind of comp mode yet?)
Plus, all those unlocks, man oh man are people gonna have a field day with them
Hope I’m totally wrong though, gonna wait to see if it’s still played after a while before grabbing it

Last edited by Cloud,
people crying about unlocks… You seriously don’t know about CoD4, do you? And there is an interview about the servers, and you can set lvl limits, upgrade/buff limits etc. etc.
So there are going to be options to make it comp, and if it is still not good enough, there is a big possibility of a promod.
Have you guys found any good offers price wise
