hmmz I’m not sure, ive installed 2 days ago.
few days ago, ive got a stable fps van 120 on high/very high.
All settings enabled and filters on 16x /16xQ CSAA, FoV 90.
and yesterday ive got drops too 85 fps sometimes.
after ive installed the new mumble version
strange you should say that…
we have 4 people from our community / teams that said our MGE servers were ‘jittery’ and that hit detections was rubbish. i got one of them to record a demo and sure enough i could see the jitter and yet everyone else i asked said they were fine. I play TF2 in windowed mode no border not at full screen and while we were trying to figure out what was going on someone joined our channel and my tf2 started to jitter when the notification came up (i don’t use the mumble overlay).
I got them to switch off the overlay and then everything was fine.
yeah it’s fucked, harbleu was using it last night in an OFFICIAL like a massive spastic spend half the time trying to fix mumble the retard
ps: sorry4mad harb but usuck

Having positional audio plugins enabled shouldn’t affect overlay.
y u break u program mumbel
I gonna disable it and will see whats happens.
I dont need it anyway,G15 LCD overlay + 2nd screen
But sometime if u join some public mumble. its nice to see their names.
I’m also experiencing dropping framerates using the new mumble client. Until it’s fixed I’m just using the old version.

hay. is this still happening with the final 1.2.3?
there’s a confirmed bug where the g15 app for mumble can cause the UI to lag, and the UI includes the overlay, and when it lags, it causes the hosting game to lag. Solution is to turn off the g15 app for mumble.
There may be other bugs too, but they’ve not been reported. (I hang around in the dev channel, and I check the bug tracker every now and again)
as humbug also pointed out, if you run tf2 in a non-fullscreen window, you also want to make sure mumble isn’t showing those systray balloon thingies, it seems tf2 doesn’t like that (probably an aero thing, 2 seperate 3d apps over the top of each other and all that) – messages, untick “notifications”

bump for great justice!
The developer snapshot from http://mumble.sourceforge.net/ has a fix in it that the devs think may fix this issue, they are eager to get feedback on it
