Mumble casts are my favourite to do by far. A lot more interraction with the community and a lot more relaxed.
Beta has been bugging me for months now to do some casting with him for quadv. We were going to do some on Sunday but I think there was a problem with the audio. We will do a tonne in the next few weeks or something and viewers will hopefully have several different ways to enjoy the games!
As Arx said above, we now have the ability to cast in video.
We did continue to cast even without this ability but we found we lost listeners to full video coverage at the time. On that note, I have spent a large majority of my spare time trying to sort some issues and I believe we are now ready to make this live.
I am disappointed to see in some cases our past work has been forgotten but I hope to change that :-)
Look out for some news over the coming week with a hope of covering this weekends i39 in someway or form (permission pending)

is it not possible to combine video casting with mumble casts, aslong as the casters are doing it through the stv, since im guessing people like beta and arx are on a mumble while they do a normal video cast.
just combine them.

i hope this doesn’t mean separate casts. would prefer 1 group of casters on a mumble and then a choice of video or stv
Yeah, is there no way of feeding the mumble cast into an online stream?
I prefer it with stv, but it would be good for there to be one main cast.
Also are these going to become more regular?

I heard byte would be casting i39 as well (might be mis remembering this or just making it up) Does this mean theres gonna be 2 casts going on then? Or how is it gonna work?
They’ve been happening once a week so yes i believe so minimoose.
Acid and beta have casted before, and are wanting to get back to it. Good luck to the both of them.
Unfortunately Acid and Beta’s casting is different to how myself and the others roll, they know it and we know it. Not necessarily better but differently done. So we intend to keep doing our casts regardless of what other streams/vod’s/casts are going. QuadV/Pwnage/User specific casts/lvl^up.
We believe we are doing a good job and will continue as per normal.

As byte said we are not looking to take over casting from anyone and we hope mumble casts as well other options available. We are dfferent..in a good way. Its good to see etf2l radio running again and I hope you guys continue reaching out to all players :-)
With more options available then ever to the community we now need your help to help us grow bigger! Tell us if ur happy,unhappy etc, im sure i can speak for byte aswell.

There’s no doubt that STV + Mumble is more versatile, but some people want to watch passively, while they do other shit. Radio works for that, but this is a video game, audio is next to worthless, most people actually want to see what happens.
Over here there are STV’s for every match, they even give them out in the irc channels for pwnage.tv and tgbf.tv, but still each of them gets hundreds of viewers for each match.

I bet if their casters did a mumble cast with stv they would get similar number of viewers/listeners or maybe even more. It’s the casters that lure them into watching a stream, without that audio I would think many of them would rather watch the stv.
Or not, either way, but personally I’ve really enjoyed etf2l.radio.

I’m pretty sure there is, infact isn’t that exactly what most of the streamers do? Stream + mumble cast would be optimal, since there are some people that would be interested in watching matches even though they don’t own TF2 (yet ;-)) or just can’t run the game for some other reason.
And streaming gives you easier vods than mp3+stv demo.
Guys we do have a irc channel that you can idle in to give us support and check out the latest casts that will be going on.
