American here, i see y’all got etf2l radio, but do you guys have anything like pwnage.tv and tgbf.tv to cast the games with video? There’s definitely a lot of people who might want to watch a game without going into the STV, over here those two sites are pretty popular

Even together these can’t be considered anything close to what pwnage does for the american scene. Pwnage probably does more european coverage than both these put together.
I say this with no disrespect to either organisation as I’m aware there are perfectly valid reasons for this, just pointing out how things have been lately.
The swedes and germans are pretty regular in their coverage, but I doubt the OP speaks swedish or german : >.

Personally prefer mumble + stv.
I love the Mumble+STV casts. You get to decide your own camera angles and enjoy the best quality your PC can handle. No streams cutting out with too many listeners, no aggressive video compression.
It’s better for the people providing the service as well. Last night there were 600 STV specs and 280 Mumble listeners, all doable on a quad core machine and around 6MB/s of traffic (IN+OUT combined).
Only real downsides are:
– ‘Moving pictures’ part not accesible by people without the game installed/updated.
– Audio part not accesible without Mumble.
Epic, last nights was the funniest one so far and i believe was the most enjoyed. As Arie has mentioned we had a peak of 280 listeners a new record! and 600+ on source tv!
The cast was also given at short notice as well so i’m amazed as to how many turned up!
Well done to idk? and my thanks to dignitas for agreeing to come on after the match to be interviewed <3 agron.
Cheers

true, too short notice for me and I presume alot of people. I dont mind dl’ing them, but Id much prefer to experience the event live etc :)
Just saying would be nice with a couple of hours/day notice, but Its early days so I understand :)
280 listeners is pretty amazing, especially considering how many players that have their own (p)cws at the time of this match. Good job to everyone involved!

Definitely agree with this. I often watch tbgf from work where I don’t have TF2 so STV is impossible, so it would be nice to get something like that for the euro scene.

I finished up a particularly miserable official to find the cast advertised on the ETF2L homepage – it brightened up my night no end.
and watching the demo and mp3 of the mumble is a suitable alternative – I prefer the high def that the demo provides. Although live streamcasting is good live if you can’t watch the STV
