An example, I’ve heard from the grape vines that Stark is playing heavy over Rusky. I’ve also heard that Stark doesnt play heavy at all.
It doesnt make sense to me.
I think some people are going to take the HL nations cup as a fun cup and think doesnt matter cos we have the proper 6v6 nations cup afterwards.
If people had to chose between cups. It would get more people involved and everyone would be playing their best and their mains.
I have no doubt that Kaidus is the best demo in HL and 6v6. But making him chose, between the two would allow another demo to step up. I’d probably put you up next Permzilla as you demo’d for nuts. Would just give a bit of team variation and involve more HL players. Thats if kaidus chose 6v6 for the sake of the example.I’m not the only person who has thought this is a bit off. I’m just the only person who has said anything, so dont hate me.
Of course, in some special cases what you’ve said is true, but some of the best highlander players in europe will also take part in the 6v6 nations cups. It’d be unfair on them not to allow them to take part in both.
Not allowing people who didn’t play in the most recent Highlander Season is more viable, but still a bad idea I think.

Wow, what? Can anyone confirm if this is true?

An example..
if you have a large pool of players, why wouldn’t you choose the best 9 available? That’s the point of nations cup.
You’d have be completely delusional to think that top 6v6 players wouldn’t be able to outclass strictly HL-only players, too, by the way.
That happens in every team though to be fair.
There are just some classes that it’ll actually be more benificial to have an actual highlander player play the class instead of 6v6 people but that’s up to the team to decide what is benificial to them.

It’s not my fault that 6s players on a higher level. If I was taking it as a fun cup then I would use inferior players but HL mains so everyone can have fun, but since I take it seriously and want to win I find the most skilled players that are available. Sorry if you don’t like that. If one of my players doesn’t work how I expect them to then they will be replaced, but I would rather take a risk and hope for a big pay off (stark) than settle for someone who’s just decent.
Hearing that your taking it seriously has relieved me.
An example of my fear was last year, England got Greg (i think it was) on pyro for a nations cup match when he had only played like 2-3 hours of pyro at the time. Just didnt seem like we were using the best of our assets sensibly.
And i feared the same thing was happening again this year, (no offence greg).
Also please bear in mind that this is all info passed down from person to person as few people in the HL community have direct links to you.
Would be good if you could post something somewhere with some info on who your playing etc so we can get behind you, I know a lot of english country men who are very interested in knowing who your playing and why etc. Would take like 5 mins of your time to post something somewhere and generate a lot of interest. Same for the 6v6 nation cups. And same for all national teams, as peeps want to know, in the same way you check BBC for info on footie teams.
Back on track, I still think the ‘1 cup rule’ would be great for the nations cup. I also thought what you said perm was a given, i didnt realise you could apply to play for your country without actually participating in the last HL season.
And again, glad to see your taking it seriously Kaidus. Im very patriotic. Also I’m gunna win fucking massive in the sweep stakes if england win.
Hildreth possibly isn’t playing for England. Says it all really.

On the roster, everyone who is a leader is part of the main 9 as far as I am aware.

I suppose Finland are less strict in that regard then.

Nah it’s definitely true. The best pocket in 6v6 will probably be better at heavy than any highlander-only player.
