Again i ask the question. How often is a medic in combat? And how is that a fair trade considering how little a medic actually needs to battlemedic?
And if a scout twoshots you, a blut isnt going to save you, so try again man. Only thing the blut can do is scare a scout off if running away as you’ll be getting more hp than hes taking.
ehm, haven’t u answered your own question?
i mean the blut is very useful and has saved many a medic’s life, now true this may be only a few instances a match but they’re are often what decides tight matches.
The needles on the other hand give an incresed regen rate which will help protect against spam(every little bit helps). Now medics have to decide between that little boost or a little extra firepower.
All i’ve done is point out the very obvious, because quite frankly i don’t understand what your problem with this whole thing is.
I’m just saying its not a fair trade (god i love repeating myself). Any medic with some brains will go for the syringe gun (agron doesnt count as he gets liberties to run around which normal people don’t :P), this pretty much making the blut the undesired gun, which completely ruins one of the best guns in the game.
Tbh id rather have the buff removed, and play like we always have, but hey. Can’t get everything in life.
If you like the blutsauger, why dont you use it?
Difference between 4 and 6 hp/sec is only a couple of seconds and the needlegun is not going to save you live. In contrast to the blutsauger which can win a round for you by surviving and getting your uber up in time.
You are overrating the regen buff imho.
doesnt anyone else see that this just makes bad medics better? even when they take lots of spam when they cluelessly roam around following some soldier, not more than few seconds later *ZADAM* they’re back to full health.

Who cares about that argument, same argument was used during the fan discussion and it turned out nobody gave a fuck.
Think it’s more of a scout/demo nerf tbh. Will allow medics, indeed, to be more careless with their sollies AND it’ll make pipe-spam kills and quick scout picks harder.
I didnt know that fan gives you self regen.

But seriously, it’s likely the changes coming soon to the heavy will make medics think again about the blut, as a heavy can top his medic up quickly with a sandvich (effectively a medium healthpack) even taking small packs and converting them to medium packs, and if I’m honest I’d say a heavy is probably better at defending medics against scouts than a soldier, certainly better at defending the medic against kamikazi RJing soldiers

+1
(my god it will be boring if everyone starts running the heavy on most maps)

Because alot of the hassle the syringe now saves you from is territorial control. Say your medic is low. You decide to back off to get hp. Which with the syringe is unecessary, you can keep your positioning, keep the area you hold under control. Now this too can be considered a gamebreaking situation.
And the blut isn’t _that_ amazing compared to the needlegun that it’ll give a huge amount of gamebreaking kills. You’re overrating the blut imho.

Stop complaining, medics have had enough buffs. :P
The soldier has recieved nothing but nerfs :(
I’d say let’s ban the regular Syringe Gun, no?
Unfortunately I foresee exactly that, most teams running a heavy on most maps, many soldiers switching to sniper and the game becoming more boring – I hope I’m wrong. But the shear amount of health the heavy will have (450 buffed, 150 sandvich thrown down in front of him, plus the continual heals, say altogether 750h) for an attack will take him well beyond what even x2 soldiers can deal out at standard fighting range – ie,. 11 direct rockets to take out a heavy.
Edit: Illii’s right (she made me say it)
6v6 ml 0 should do the trick
