I don’t get why people are mad. What were you expecting and why?

Mostly the new map cp_snowplow and up to three new weapons. The map was denied shortly before the update for a reason which seems silly without more information on Valve’s thought process. And one melee weapon reskin doesn’t really count.
All in all it looks like Valve put in the least required amount of work into the update and – maybe even worse – all the effort making the map was devalued last minute.

If you still think Valve takes TF2 serious after all these shit updates you are just being overly optimistic.
so how about we fly a couple of planes into the Valve headquarters on the 11th September 2015 ? or is that too much

holy shit everyone here is so fucking retarded (and by everyone I mean konr)
Nerd rage is serious business Sheepy. Just grab some popcorn.
EDIT: The update itself was a bit lackluster for a “major”, but I enjoyed the short. I Don’t care too much about the map, it would have ended like Standin after the hype anyway.

It’s less about opinion and more about testifiable facts.
The cut content, the pay-to-play event on a game that has been free-to-play for a few years now and one weapon reskin – this does not make up for the severe hype and promises made by the developers, they should have known better.
You can be either non-chalant because you don’t really care about it – which is a valid stance, because really, it’s not like there’s any real harm done. Just don’t buy the useless duck thing and enjoy your free game.
Or you can be upset and disappointed because they’ve been drumming up interest for this over months. But either way, you can’t let Valve get away with it simply because they don’t have as bad a reputation as, say, EA or Ubisoft.
So the ducks are going away eventually right?
